love the app

the idea is super interesting, learning a lot of words

Keep going!!

Exactly what I was looking for

I’ve been looking for an app like this for a while because I think it’s an effective way to learn a language using shorts. It has some glitches but I think I get what I want out of it for the most part

Videos zoomed in

I really liked the app but many video are zoomed in a little bit. You also can’t see who made the video and the video quality is sometimes bad. Great concept though.

if you want to learn a new language you need this

i haven’t used the feature to actually watch the videos, but the courses you scroll through are one of the only ways i’ve actually made progress learning languages, and it is FREE. great app

Writing hangul

I was testing out the app and when i get to the part where I write Hangul without the assistance it doesn’t let me lift my finger to do certain words and whenever i get them right it still fails me
I could be writing ㅣand it still fails me

Love it

Great app, more language options would be great though (polish, greek, turkish, etc)

Good potential… just not very good atm

The concept is great but the biggest setback is the content itself, being mostly yt short content farm not really helping you with your target language (for reference I did Spanish) I have been keeping an eye on this app since it released in beta but only started consistently using it in the past few days. I understand it’s very difficult to get quality content on something like this but it’s still not good enough for me. Another thing is I wish you could pick which dialects you want to see, for me I wanted to learn Spanish Spanish but most of the app was Latin Spanish. Another small nitpick is I wish you could have the option videos permanently in slower speed, making it easier to comprehend and to click on subtitles. Really good concept but just really far away from being useable yet, I will be definitely checking in on the app in the future to so if it’s improved but I just can’t recommend it yet.

Customer service and great design

Holy GUACAMOLE great app. UI is clunky but makes up for it with great idea. I’m psyched to see the final result. The customer service is on point and a HUMAN answers. Love it so far. Only con is some features are not 100% working but clearly they will be fixed soon cus it’s beta rn. Great app highly recommend.

One of the best language learning apps

Usually, I would quit the language app in about 3 days but this has me hooked and i’m actually learning!

Good but could be better

I like this a lot, there are no ads + free, it offers many useful and fun features etc. but I only have 1 problem with it. There are currently only 10 languages available, which is good, but personally i think there should be more options available, like cantonese, portuguese, romanian, dutch, english as second language (maybe) etc. For people wondering, the current list of languages is this: spanish, french, german, italian, russian, japanese, korean, mandarin chinese, arabic, and hindi.

Killer Idea, Solid Execution, Still In Progress

Yes the content is mediocre at best, but A) your YouTube shorts feed isn’t much better and B) you’ll be so distracted by learning a language you won’t even notice. The interface is wildly basic and not currently the most aesthetically pleasing but it’s definitely still functional. The biggest perk is definitely the educational tools. This app is seriously well thought out. The subtitles have different colors for different words based on what part of speech/idiom or phrase they’re translating. You can bookmark phrases and vocab straight from the subtitles. It has random and routine quizzes that are usually only a single question so you’re getting tested without losing the momentum of doomscrolling.

It’s clear they’ve still got ideas they haven’t implemented, and there are clearly features meant to hold things in place until it’s ready, but as a start it’s phenomenal. Can’t recommend enough.

Great app

I’ve been using Duolingo and saw this on YouTube I’ve learned more beginner Japanese conversational words and sentence structure than 200 days on Duolingo

This is very smart!

I’ve been using this app for a few days now and it has actually helped me improve in a relatively short amount of time.

This app isn’t perfect but I’m not going to sit here and pick on the app it’s pretty damn good for what it’s meant for.

Good app nothing else to say.

a few things…

for the chinese course, i selected A1 (albeit conservatively) because I already know basic words, word order, tones, etc, but it immediately threw me into the very basics regardless. no big deal, i could just exit to the feed immediately. however, no matter how much i interact with a video, a pop up comes up once i scroll because i “skipped the video”. Just some small things :)

Good but not great

It’s a good app and I can see how it can help a lot. However I have noticed quite a few mistakes in the basic Korean language section nothing too big but should be looked into. Also it gave me the score of B2 Korean which is correct but then still makes me learn really basic Korean which is not helpful.

But all in all it is a really good app and just needs some bugs fixing. I will still use this to practice listening

So much slop

I understand this app is new but it definitely needs SO much more improvement. All the videos on there are stolen content. It seems like none of the comments are real aswell. I can’t reply to anyone’s comments and it seems the comments I leave don’t show up either. A lot of the captions are incorrect to what’s being said and also since it’s stolen content, text from the original video cannot be translated. I dislike the AI stuff and this app seems so poorly made in general, the concept is great it was just terribly executed. I have hope that this will change, though. Another thing, the stupid “why did you skip this video” pop up is soooo annoying and there’s no option to disable it to my knowledge. It shows up every two scrolls and it’s just annoying SOOO ANNOYING. I also wish there was an option to skip the stuff at the beginning because I already know how to pronounce Spanish words. There might have been though and I just didn’t see it. 2 stars, I see potential though. Get rid of the AI, don’t steal content (at least make me able to post my own damn videos) and if you are stealing content, make it good content at least and credit the original. I also have reason to suspect comments are bots due to the fact I can’t click on anyone’s profile. Or they might be stolen comments from the original video.

Good potential!

Its a good idea, but the app isnt the best. I like the short lesson you get when you first join. But it’s sorta broken. The video is half covered by the caption, and most of the captions I saw while I was on it were broken or just weren’t right. Not to mention after scrolling, every few videos I get this annoying pop up thats asking me why I’m scrolling, once I get, but every few videos?? That’s a bit ridiculous.

The app is a good idea, but it needs a lot of work!

Locked?

Great app so far, but I’m on Russian and can’t get past the question ‘what ending do all Russian infinitives share?’ And I’m trying every single possible variation of the letter t but it’s not working! I’ve tried t, ť, t’, and many other variations. Please help me!!!

It’s a great app and it actually helps with me learning my German I sometimes forgot but it’s great!

I’ve been learning German and sometimes I forget some words but when I used Duolingo I didn’t remember anything besides basics greetings like hi now I’m staring to know words to build sentences and casual conversation

Good

It’s good, but there’s a lot of errors where the other languages will show when you’re scrolling and I wish there was an option where you could select What type of content you wanted to see. Like if you could watch sports content instead of just scrolling to find stuff.
