Too easy to beat unfortunately
I was really moved by the advertisement for this app. I really only need these apps for blocking social media. The apps are blocked but if I log on to my web browser I can go to the social media website. My built in phone app blocker can block social media apps even from the web browser so it’s a shame this one couldn’t. I loved the idea of meditating to focus on spending less time on the phone but if the blocker isn’t strong, it defeats the purpose. If the developers can change this I would renew my subscription.

Could be a lot better
First, I’d like to say that they said they would send a reminder notification that the free trial is about to end, and no notification came, so it charged me over $60 for a year subscription. But whatever, I was using the music to help focus and another app to block the apps. Since this one already charged me, I deleted the other app and used this one’s app blocking system. The app blocking is horrible and needs to be fixed. There are only specific apps I want to keep open, and if you select apps to stay open, for some reason it opens a bunch of other apps! Even social media! So it really defeats the purpose! Then after a couple of weeks using this app for the binaural sounds, I started to get bored of the same songs, and tried to see what other songs they have and they only have 18 sounds besides the 14 pure binaural sounds. To be opted into this app for a whole year and already bored of the songs after a couple weeks, and the app blocking doesn’t even work well, I’d say it was a waste of money and feels scammy. It has potential to be better, but it’s lacking.

It charged me on the free trial. I deleted 1 hour after downloading. Great app. But not for me.

Good app, like the format and the daily sessions. The daily sessions only continue for 30 days so I’m paying for a year and I only get a month out of it.
Why Wont It Block Instagram??
Instagram has been my biggest time waster lately. I use the built-in app timed lock-out but almost always bypass it to keep scrolling. I just got this and I really like how it blocks out the apps I choose instead of all of them, except for my most problematic one. Please fix this bug or instruct me on how to fix it on my end so I can change my review to 5-stars.

Got charged 32$ by submitting for free trial and it’s said there “no payment now”. be aware!
Buggy
It won’t unlock my apps on the schedule so I had to do it manually. It was annoying so I decided to delete the app during the trial but then I was charged $65.. hopefully I’ll get it back from the dispute
7 day free trial
I signed up for the 7 day free trial and was charged the full amount of close to $60 for a yearly subscription. I couldn’t get a refund through Apple. I emailed and hopefully the app will refund me.

After this app was heavily marketed to me over the course of several weeks I finally decided to give it a shot. The result? Mistakenly getting stuck with an annual subscription. I attempted to cancel the same day it was charged and Apple refused to refund it. Super disappointing. The app serves no purpose for me because all you have to do is just unlock everything that is locked. So in short, you are just paying to use screen time, which is built into the iPhone, at no additional. At least with a screen time, you could ideally password protect the lockout or the downtime as they like to call it and you could give the password to override it to someone else in your household to keep you accountable. I’ve now spent $90 and haven’t opened the app once since my original trial. Don’t do business with companies who bet on the fact that you will forget to cancel your trial. If it was a good app and a good company, they wouldn’t have to lock you in to an annual subscription. Monthly? Sure. Forced annual subscriptions are scams! Don’t do it!

The accountability I needed
Finally a practical app that allows me to pause the mindless scrolling and replace the dopamine hit with intentionality. I really like that I can choose which apps I want to restrict (pointless time wasters) and which ones I want to keep available (for productivity and learning). It’s just what I needed!

Glitchy, Overpriced, and Hard to Uninstall
Good idea, but the app is a mess.
It didn’t block the apps I selected, even after setting it up twice.
Gave up and got a different app.
Tried uninstalling, and it wouldn’t let me.
Had to go into settings, remove screen time access, then uninstall.
Not cheap either. Almost the same price as Opal, which actually works.
