The reason I am giving this a one-star rating is not due to the bank itself, nor the "Visa Signature" credit card, but rather because the app is in urgent need of improvement. I dislike absolutely everything about this app. It needs to be made more interactive, incorporating more features directly within the application itself so that it doesn't constantly redirect the user to the website. I urge the app developer to focus on enhancing the user experience—something this app is perfectly capable of delivering. Nowadays, high-quality technology is readily available, and there is significant competition among banking apps regarding the experience they provide to their customers. I believe my feedback can be constructive; if Dort Financial sets its mind to it, they could improve their app by 100%. Dort Financial App

Features broken or unavailable
I called the bank to get a situation resolved with my check deposit access and they said it was fixed and weeks late it’s still unavailable. Now when I try to enter my info for external transfers it just loads for a second and stops before it does anything. Please fix the app

It’s been over two weeks since the app started crashing immediately upon opening it. Please fix this.
App won’t open
App crashes immediately when trying to open it. Issue has persisted since the beginning of November 2025.
Won’t work
App hasn’t worked in weeks. Crashes before it even opens the login screen - I have emails several times, and there’s been no response or fix from their team
Blue screen
I can never actually log into my account. I keep getting a blue screen before and after Face ID and then it just sit on a blank blue screen forever
Terrible app
This app fails more than it works and it is not very user friendly. Really could use an update.
Slow transfers and crashes a lot
Sometimes having trouble transferring funds or unlocking cards.
Often cannot log in
Over the last several months it seems like almost every weekend I cannot get into my account. Often at night time during the week. Very annoying and no update available. A message on the main screen when services are down would also be useful. Chase app works fine and cell service and WiFi are also fine. iPhone 14 Pro is fully up to date as well. Speed test shows 400mbps+ download 20 upload. It’s not on my end.

App is great. A credit U to avoid.
I don’t think I have had a bad experience at any other bank in my life but this one seems to find ways to make my life miserable every second of the day. First letter of communication I get are a loan delinquency because my “starter kit” never got mailed to me to set up my account. Try to set up autopay online to link my bank accounts and it doesn’t work even though says “link successful.” So it forces me to pay my bill over the phone which is an additional 10 dollars. They push my ticket to their tech department that never fixes or gets back with me. So I had to do another phone call the next month and pay another 10 dollars.
Now I get a notice saying they’ll charge me as of 8/10/24 because I don’t have the insurance they want. Glad they tell me that two month after the loan and how they’ll need to charge me an extra 2,600+ dollars.
I don’t think this bank cares at all about its members. It cares about those juicy extras it can charge you. I am going to be taking my loan to another bank. I don’t even care if they charge a higher interest rate. I just want to be away from this awful bank.

Needs some improvement
The app errors out regularly, and while the quick balance widget was partially functional before, it’s not compatible with iOS 18 at all.
