This new version, which uses the iOS 27 software components, is simply remarkable.
Especially when it comes to the dictation tools.
However, there’s a minor drawback regarding the source language setting.
If you’re dictating in French, you have to tap the top-right corner of the panel on your iPhone to specify that you’re not speaking English!
Next, the custom word dictionary—that clever glossary that helps you spell words you use correctly—sometimes conflicts with the standard dictionary.
But you can now record voice memos up to an hour long (…I tested it myself!) with pauses and even edit text you’ve already dictated.
I have no doubt that some of these glitches will be fixed, but even at this stage, Drafts remains a fantastic tool that’s still far too underrated!

Faster everywhere
Quickly, this app is the fastest way to get your thought down and where it needs to go. Faster than you opening the app you were going to open. Seriously, just try it and you’ll see. Also, it cuts the distraction of iOS candy colored icons and gives you an inbox with tagging and easy-to-use automation that doesn’t rely on AI. Syncs via iCloud with MacOS and WatchOS apps, so basically everywhere. Works great in a slide over on iPad, too.

Great app
Pretty much the ideal app if you want cross-platform iOS and macOS quick note-taking on the fly to get your ideas down
Keeps crashing when I open the app
When i click on the app it just opens briefly then it just goes back to my home page fast. I deleted the app and reinstalled it but still didn’t and all my files probably are lost now. Hope they fix this other than that I like the app been using it for months now.

Not user friendly
You need a level of skill to setup actions in this app which mashes it next to unusable for the majority of prior.
No pre-made actions? Really? Earlier version had them.

A Regular Part Of My Workflow.
Can't imagine working without the Drafts app. Accessibility is a priority with the developer, and the possibilities for text creation are practically endless!
Drafts is the best
Incredibly useful text power tool always one tap away. This the glue that holds iOS together. I don’t have to think upfront about workflows, if there’s an idea or bit of data I need to capture I just start with Drafts and then I can do anything I need with it now or later.

You are essentially creating your own UI.
For some reason it stopped capitalizing the first word of a task.
Just where did I put that action. What do those icon do, some are clear others are not. I recommend adding actions slowly organizing them as you go.
Recent releases have made it easier to find and manage actions, but you need to spend some time organizing your actions

Great options others lack
This is a great app that for free lets you have all kinds of choices in how to manage files, documents, copied text from web searches and tons of other great features- highly recommend!

I have never used anything like this. I’ve been using it for years now. It’s one of my most used apps. I discover new functionality that I didn’t know. existed on a regular basis in this app.

I use it for all kinds of things—planning systems, planning guides, bills, important dates, routines, and regimens. It’s basically where I organize my life before anything becomes “finished.”
What I appreciate most is how simple it is. There aren’t a bunch of unnecessary features getting in the way. You just open the app and start writing.

Great app and one that I recommend. I wish there was an option to change the icon back to the pre liquid glass look.
