Instructions are not clear. Turning on Robot Vacuum takes very unnecessarily long and when I tried to do the firmware update, it kept failing. Software and user experience is garbage, and most features of Robot don’t even work correctly

Because of the password fiasco trying to set up account, the only way forward when using the forgot password is to give a mobile number, which I did not give on signing up or intend to, email would have been fine to reset password. So… as I purchased today, unless I get an answer by end of today on how to reset password using same email only, then I will be returning it and purchasing the roborock. 18/826

App keeps disconnecting from the wifi
Please fix the app. It’s very frustrating that the app keeps disconnecting from the wifi. It is soooo slow and nothing will load.

Le robot fonctionne très bien. J’étais assez dubitatif au départ concernant l’efficacité de ce type d’appareil, mais je dois reconnaître que je suis finalement très satisfait de son fonctionnement et de ses performances.
En revanche, l’application laisse selon moi un peu à désirer, malgré le fait qu’elle semble très complète.
Après avoir effectué la cartographie de la maison, j’aimerais pouvoir séparer correctement les différentes pièces, notamment au rez-de-chaussée (cuisine, salle à manger, séjour, entrée, toilettes, etc.), puis pouvoir les renommer librement afin d’identifier clairement chaque zone. L’application semble proposer la séparation des pièces, mais malgré plusieurs essais, je n’arrive pas à obtenir le résultat souhaité. Je ne trouve également aucune possibilité permettant de renommer librement les différentes pièces.
Ce qui est assez étonnant, c’est qu’en regardant plusieurs vidéos et tutoriels YouTube datant de quelques mois, cette possibilité semblait auparavant être disponible dans l’application.
C’est vraiment dommage, car le robot est excellent et cette fonction rendrait son utilisation et la gestion de la cartographie beaucoup plus pratiques au quotidien.
J’espère donc que Dreame pourra prendre en compte ce retour et, s’il s’agit d’une fonction qui a été supprimée ou modifiée lors d’une mise à jour, permettre à nouveau de séparer facilement les pièces et surtout de les renommer librement.

I bought the Dreame J1 pool cleaner hoping for a seamless experience with the app, but both the device and the customer support have been extremely disappointing.
The app continuously triggers error codes for propeller/thruster malfunctions. After sending the unit back for repair multiple times, the exact same errors keep popping up in the app as soon as the robot is placed back in the water.
Customer support refuses to issue a refund because it passed the 30-day window, offering only repeated repair cycles or refurbished replacements for a brand-new device that never worked reliably. The app is useless when the hardware fails this consistently. I do not recommend the J1 or this ecosystem.

Do NOT buy their products. App doesn’t work on wifi only on mobile data/existing vacuums unusable
Just use ChatGPT or google latest issue plaguing existing Dreamehome owners. Essentially app no longer works on any wifi but can sometimes work on mobile data. This is a nightmare if you’ve tried to reset the Dreame vacuum’s network settings on the robot itself which renders the vacuum useless and unable to connect again

Great machine- App is not working
App opens but when you click on your machine it just shuts down the app. When the app is working this is the best setup on the market, but can you please fix the app?

Great App. Terrible UI/UX
I love this app, but the UI/UX is trash. I can’t stand when i’m trying to check out and the ad for shipping protection takes up the entire screen. Or when it locks you into using Shop with no way to revert to Apple Pay, Venmo, PayPal, or any of the other payment options the app offers. I was literally about to make a purchase, but am unable to purchase without using Shop. I can close the app out a million times and it still doesn’t allow me to choose how i pay. I’ll just use Amazon.

This is the worst app I’ve encountered. It constantly forgets the map and has to start again. Cannot put into words how annoying it is.

Wheel sensor error keeps happening ever since the update this last week.
Very frustrating. We liked our L60 Ultra, but the wheel not touching the ground error keeps going off & won’t quit until we put it back on the base. I’ve powered it on and off & still the error persists. Cleaned all the sensors. No vacuuming or mopping is getting done this week!
Tolle App, aber einige Funktionen fehlen noch
An sich ein sehr guter Staubsauger und auch die App lässt sich toll bedienen. Allerdings würde ich mir eine Funktion wünschen, bei der man einstellen kann, dass der Sauger sich quasi nicht „leer“ fährt. Da die App jetzt die CleanGenius Funktion hat, wäre es toll, wenn man einstellen könnte, dass der Sauger zwar intensiv saugen soll, aber alles in einem Akku Durchgang schaffen soll. Bei uns saugt er leider immer mehrere Stunden und hat dann ein bis zwei Räume immernoch nicht geschafft. Das ist ein bisschen Schade und auch ärgerlich, weil er dann mitten am Tag wieder losfährt.
Außerdem wäre es schön, wenn man den Sauger während des Saugvorgangs auch aus bestimmten Räumen schicken kann. Z.b wenn ich im Büro bin und ein Meeting habe und der Sauger dann kurz vorher ins Büro fährt, wäre es super wenn man ihn per App rausschicken könnte, ohne den Sauger zu pausieren oder den Vorgang zu beenden.
Außerdem wäre es schön, wenn man den Sauger während des Saugvorgangs auch aus bestimmten Räumen schicken kann.
