Leider eher immer schlechter
Auch wenn die Release Notes regelmäßig versprechen, man würde immer nach Möglichkeiten suchen, die App weiter zu verbessern, so ist gefühlt eher das Gegenteil der Fall. Aufgrund von zwei „Verbesserungen“ der letzten Zeit ist es inzwischen kaum mehr möglich, auf dem iPad Ordner mit Fotos vernünftig zu durchsuchen. Zum einen lässt sich die Preview Pane nicht mehr ausblenden, so dass ein großer Teil der Bildschirmfläche fürs reine Browsen verloren ist. Zum anderen werden Fotos in den Thumbnails mittlerweile nicht mehr vollständig angezeigt sondern gnadenlos aufs Querformat zurechtgeschnitten. In Ordnern mit Hochformatfotos ist es damit so gut wie unmöglich, die gesuchten Inhalte aufzufinden. Zuvor konnte man wählen, ob man die Thumbnails vollständig oder abgeschnitten haben wollte, womit jeder glücklich werden konnte. Ich kann nicht verstehen, warum man solche simplen, aber essentiellen Features ohne Not entfernt und damit einem Teil der Kundschaft das Leben unnötig schwer macht. Jetzt ist die einzige verbleibende Möglichkeit, die Dropbox stattdessen über die native Dateien-App zu nutzen – aber dann kann ich eigentlich auch gleich auf andere, erheblich günstigere Anbieter wechseln…

This program worked great in my old computer. I’m very disappointed that I’m not able to be able to use in my new computer or laptop in Finder. Which makes it very hard to work.
iPad App Crashing
iPad Pro, 6th Generation, iOS 26.6 Dropbox will crash at random every few days. Nothing helps, must remove and re-load every time. Annoying.

As much as Dropbox is my ‘GoTo’ App, it needs to become more flexible, but more secure! More and more tell me that Dropbox is an easy ‘back door’ access to all my accounts, but I’m not computer ‘savvy’ to see this!

The review of 1 star… if I could give less stars I would! Your customer service was very horrible I asked for assistance and treated like dirt! They allowed my account to be compromised amd never even gave feted to help me only close my accounts.

This app was majorly downgraded when the refresh button for syncing offline files was removed a couple revisions back.

Dropbox keeps referring me to new plans when I just want for delete files to stay within my old plan. This is very frustrating.

I’m happy with it. It backs up everything I need it to back up. I can move documents to Dropbox on my computer in my office and pull them up on my phone and other devices when I’m out in the field or on a job site. What I use it for, isn’t high tech in any way, but it does the job I need it to do very well.
