Upload errors
I pay for dropbox storage but when I select videos to be uploaded, I often find that videos that I did not select are being uploaded, as well as photos even after I filtered my photo gallery to just videos. Great outside of that. Also wish uploads could continue even if you leave the app.
10/10
Keeping it real.
Storage Good, Support Very Poor
I have been attempting to get access to my account that was created when using discontinued work emails. No amount of reading or enquiring allows me to do this easily. I have lost access to many useful documents because of this. Outside of this, I like this as a preferred ongoing cloud storage solution.

Title: 12+ Years as a Customer — Now I Can’t Access My Own Files Without Paying!
Rating: 1 Star
I have had a Dropbox account for over 12 years, dating back to when my children were in elementary school. I have not added new files in years, yet suddenly Dropbox began notifying me that I had exceeded my storage limit and needed to purchase a monthly subscription.
I have not changed how I use this account, so why is this suddenly happening?
In an attempt to resolve the issue, I even deleted files that I wanted to keep. Unfortunately, that did not solve anything.
Now I cannot access my own files without being prompted to pay for additional storage. These are personal files and memories that I have trusted Dropbox to store for over a decade.
I have submitted a support request, received a ticket number, and still have not received a meaningful response. There is no accessible telephone support for customers like me, leaving me with absolutely no way to speak directly with someone about this issue.
I have screenshots documenting everything.
I am extremely disappointed in Dropbox’s customer service and the way this situation has been handled. After more than a decade of using this service, I should not have to fight to access my own files.
I am requesting three simple things:
1. Restore access to my existing files so I can download them.
2. Explain why my storage limit suddenly became an issue when I have not been adding files.
3. Have an actual customer service representative respond to my existing support ticket.
I do not want to purchase a monthly subscription simply to retrieve files I already stored.
Dropbox, please take responsibility and resolve this issue.
