About

A professional safety tool for engineers, riggers, people working at heights, and site safety personnel. SEVERITY ASSESSMENT Evaluate the likely injury outcome of a dropped object based on its mass and drop height. Using the methodology published by Dropsonline.org, the app instantly classifies the severity as Slight, Minor, Major, or Fatality Risk — and plots your input on the severity zone chart so you can see exactly where it falls. Switch to the S-curve view to read off the probability of fatality at the calculated impact energy. DROP ZONE CALCULATOR Calculate the horizontal exclusion zone radius required to safely barricade an area below a potential drop source. Enter the total drop height, up to two intermediate obstruction heights for deflections, and the material elasticity. The app runs a real-time Newtonian physics simulation and plots the complete trajectory — from release through any deflections to final rest. FIELD ASSESSMENT CHECKLIST Complete a structured dropped objects risk assessment on-site. Work through eight sections covering work at height identification, drop zone setup, tool and material security, scaffold conditions, PPE, site conditions, and incident history. Each item has individual Yes, No, and N/A checkboxes — or mark an entire section N/A with one tap. When ready, tap Prepare Report to add site details, photos, and a declaration, then export a full PDF. KEY FEATURES ◆ Severity zone chart and S-curve fatality probability chart ◆ Real-time trajectory simulation with obstruction deflection ◆ Material elasticity reference table with one-tap pre-fill ◆ Structured field assessment checklist with PDF export ability ◆ Metric and Imperial units — switch anytime, values convert automatically ◆ Attach site photos from your photo library to any assessment ◆ Export full PDF reports with inputs, results, charts, and photos ◆ Share via email, AirDrop, or any iOS share option ◆ Privacy policy viewable in-app — no internet required ◆ Works completely offline — no account, no data collected IMPORTANT NOTE This app is a calculation aid and does not constitute a formal engineering assessment. Always consult a qualified engineer for safety-critical decisions. The severity assessment methodology is based on Dropsonline.org published guidance. The drop zone calculator uses an independent physics simulation developed by the author.
