App is bad, science is good
This app really is not for drummers. The interface was designed by a PhD to teach theory—not to actually tune a real world drum kit. Even when you create your own drum kit the interface doesn’t really provide anything more than just a list of your drums and what’s listed doesn’t even interface with the actual tuning mechanisms, and doesn’t even consider tuning a top and bottom head differently. You can use the tools to tune each drum head top and bottom differently but this app doesn’t assist you— it just gives you access to the tools and you would have to decide how to do that.
Everything about the app is just awkward. I just wish the owner would’ve teamed up with some drummers that had a lot of experience developing interfaces for applications.
This app should have two buttons when it starts Standard Mode and Advanced Mode. Standard mode you would create your drum kit and all of the tunings would then be activated from each drum on your kit. From there the app should make some recommendations based on your style of music. Then you would click on one drum at a time and it would walk you through the tuning process using the different tools, starting with the top or the bottom head.
Bottom line, the science is there, the app is not.

Awesome app
I love this app. I also highly recommend the app developers book - drum sound and drum tuning by Rob Toulson. This tool and book long overdue.
Don’t buy this
Not intuitive at all. Not even a trial. Waste of money.
No use for congas
Great tuner. I was struggling to tune my congas for first couple of hours before I realised my hand’s proximity to the mic on my iPhone was affecting the reading. Hold with phone’s mic unobstructed and near lug and it works great 😊
