The interface makes things really easy. Some of the web filtering isn’t very easy to get right

Si bien el software es bastante estable y en principio lo encontraba completo, no se ha actualizado nada durante años y carece de integración de funcionalidades que encuentro relevantes en el router como Threat Protection, DNS Server, etc
Needs more features
I want to be able to configure my access point to prevent certain devices from connecting to it. One of my Sonos speakers in my living room keeps connecting to the AP on a different floor, through cement and steel walls, rather than the router that is less than 20’ away and has direct line of sight. Many cheaper brands have this feature, so my Synology routers are going on Ebay.

The Best Family Router
Really really good router! So much free easy parental control.
Downside is you can’t ad apps that the Synology NAS drives can have.

Covers the basics decently
The app covers the basics most people need but for “tinkerers” accessing settings through a web browser directly is the better way. The app does have a clean, intuitive UI that is a pleasure to use, but really needs a dark mode option.

Lacks basic functions the pc browser has. Have had consistent issues with the app not connecting to the router and have to manually power cycle the router to allow the app to connect. Sadly, Synology hasn’t released a new router since 2022. The WRX560 was the most recent. I had to retire my old RT2600 as it couldn’t keep up with the increase in technology on the network. I chose to go with another manufacturer since Synology seems to have gone a different path other than routers.

Useful but still need to improve its connection

The app is seriously basic compared to the full web admin. Really needs to be updated and upgraded.

A very old application. No development. Minimal features compared to the Web GUI. Wake up, Synology!
Lacking Simple Features
This app is lacking features I’d use it for, such as changing the channel of your router. Visiting your router via the web browser tells you to download this app.
I see reviews here from seven years ago complaining about fixable issues.

功能陽春到大部分設定還是都需要開網頁設定，建議想買他家網通產品的用戶謹慎評估，買來兩年開了不少支援單都沒辦法解決問題，買網通產品還是找可靠大廠

RT2600ac relié à une Freebox en ethernet, configuré en point d’accès (AP pour Access Point) et associé à un répéteur MR2200ac pour une couverture wifi maillée (MESH). Idéal !
Attention toutefois aux quelques pièges de configuration initiale du matériel.
Accéder via votre navigateur à l’interface du routeur peut être frustrante (Firefox), n’hésitez pas à changer pour Google Chrome ou autres.
Pour identifier l’adresse IP de votre routeur, pensez aussi à installer le petit utilitaire Synology assistant qui vous facilitera l’accès.
Last but not least, si vous associez un répéteur au routeur, pensez à faire les mises à jours des deux appareils conjointement en téléchargeant les fichiers distincts (un pour le routeur et un pour le répéteur) sur le site de téléchargement Synology produit Réseau.

Remote management doesn’t work
It seems admin has to be in the same wifi network to control the settings.
QuickConnect not working
After redirecting from Safari quickconnect link to the app with a specific link, i get the message check if the qc id is correct = i cannot log in.

app should do more thing just like work on a webpage, threat prevention is a important function to protect our local internet safe,but app doesn’t offer any controller to it! so people can block some bad internet access coming on time,and on iphone ios can access webpage srm, because it alway ask to go the router app, this is a very bad experience! you don’t offer all function on app, but you limit people use webpage srm on iphone?! please update app,thanks.

Adequate, but room for improvement
Just started using this app and it works fine for some actions, but there’s a few notable shortcomings:
1. Notifications of domains blocked by safe access filters don’t mention which device was trying to access the domain—which is critical info I need to contact the user(s) affected.
2. I am annoyed at getting “blocked” notifications for domains I manually added to a filter block list. If I manually block a domain, I don’t want to keep hearing about it, so i want the app to avoid sending notifications about explicitly blocked domains.
