Dual Degrees User Reviews

Great

I wanted a weather widget that showed the temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit simultaneously. This does exactly that, and it looks nice.

Doesn’t update unless you open on phone

See title, the watch app (complication) won’t update unless you physically pull your phone out and refresh the app.

Problem with 10 day forecast maybe

Been trying to submit a bug report but keep getting error on that page for incorrect information in a field (no specifics given). Getting different results for 10 day forecast than built in weather, almost like it is a day off. Can send specifics and screen shots.

Update: was able to enter a bug report by putting Unknown in the userID field. Screen says Settings-About-UserID, except that field isn’t displayed in the app just device ID which doesn’t work.

Hello Pay! Thanks for your message, I just created our bug reporting platform and it worked for me, could you please retry submitting a bug report? Worst case, please reach out at bugs@warpulse.com

8 hours of info only

Looks nice but only provides info 8 hours ahead.

Response from developer

Hi IreneO.1 Thank you for your review! It sounds like you’re using ‘Simple View’ in the appearance settings, this keeps the weather interface minimal, and simplified, if you switch that off, you will see a full 24 hour forecast. You can do this in Settings > Appearance > Simple View However I will endeavour to add 24 hour forecasts to simple view in the next update! Thanks!

Better than The Weather Channel

This app load much faster and gives you more useful data in an easier layout than The Weather Channel app.

Love it… but

It’s the perfect idea. I have an iPhone 14 though and the widgets do not refresh on their own :( very helpful for learning fluently otherwise though

Hi! Thank you so much for your feedback. Please follow the in app link to create a ticket in the support menu inside settings, the widgets should be refreshing for you automatically but I’d like to take a look at your specific set-up so I can help! -Niall

Great phone app. Flawed watch app

This app is great! It’s the only one I can find that displays the current temp in real time in both units. However, the watch complication isn’t great. In order for the complication to update and display the correct temp, you have to open the app on the watch AND your phone for it to sync and update. This defeats the purpose of the complication. I would like to just look at my watch and see the current temp like you can with apple temp complication. I’ve check all my settings and did the system check in the app and everything was green and it still did not update in real time. That is my only complaint. Otherwise, great app!

Thank you so much for the kind words and for taking the time to share such detailed feedback - this is exactly the kind of input that helps me improve. You've put your finger on one of the most frustrating challenges in watchOS development. Apple imposes strict limits on how often third-party complications can refresh in the background, and unlike Apple's own first-party complications (like the built-in weather widget), I don't have access to the same system-level privileges that make instant updates possible. What makes this particularly tricky is that it doesn't affect everyone the same way. For the majority of my users, myself included, the complication updates as expected without needing to open either app. But watchOS background refresh behavior is heavily influenced by factors outside my control: how aggressively the system manages battery, how many other complications are active on the watch face, iPhone lock state, Focus modes, and even how frequently the complication is glanced at (which watchOS uses as a signal to prioritize refresh budget). Two users with identical settings can have a very different experience, which makes this one of the harder issues to pin down and fix universally. That said, I'm not sitting still on it. I'm currently doing a full rebuild of the connection layer between the iPhone app and the watch, specifically to get as close to real-time complication updates as the platform will allow, reducing that dependency on opening both apps for users where background refresh isn't behaving as it should. I don't want to overpromise, but this is my top priority right now. If you're open to it, I'd love to dig into your specific setup, feel free to reach out via my support portal at https://dualdegrees.freshdesk.com/. Your feedback genuinely shapes where I focus my energy. Thanks again for sticking with me.

Better than default weather app

Much better than the default weather app in terms of information about pressure, wind, and even temp. Easy to use and easy to read. The duel temperatures also help me learn to convert Celcius to Fahrenheit, and quickly tell friends overseas what the weather is in the imperial system.

Wow, hearing that Dual Degrees beats Apple’s default weather app for you honestly means a lot — thank you! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the extra details like pressure, wind, and dual temperatures. It’s awesome to know the app’s helping you learn Celsius ↔ Fahrenheit conversions and making it easier to chat weather with friends overseas. I truly appreciate you taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback!

Celsius and Fahrenheit Together at Last!

This app brings together Celsius and Fahrenheit in the same display. You don’t have to choose, you can have both! It’s great if you want to learn Celsius or vice versa. It’s also good for international households. The developer is wonderfully responsive to feedback and improving the app. Very impressed!

My Favorite Weather App

This is my favorite weather app, I use it every day, multiple times a day. It’s the first thing I check when I wake up so I know exactly how to prepare for the day ahead. It has everything I need to know and it’s easy to see and understand, plus cool other info and features like Celsius for when I’m abroad. Best of all, it’s free!

Not sure why this app doesn’t have more reviews because it’s amazing! I was looking for a free app that the widget would display both Fahrenheit & Celsius and is actually accurate. This does exactly that, has a nice aesthetic, and isn’t littered with ads like others.
