About

Practice more. Guess less. Duende turns the time you spend with your instrument into something you can see. Start a session, play, and it does the rest. KNOW WHAT YOU REALLY PRACTISED The timer runs on the clock, not on whether the app happens to be awake. Lock your phone, set it on the stand, walk away, and every second still counts. Turn the microphone on and Duende separates playing from silence, so you find out how much of that "hour" actually made a sound. It judges against your own room rather than a fixed level, so it works the same in a quiet flat and a shared house, and it keeps measuring while the phone is locked. The audio is read on your device, never uploaded, and deleted the moment the session ends. BUILD THE HABIT A practice streak for showing up, and an activity heatmap covering the last three months. A reminder at a time you choose, if you want one. KEEP THE DETAILS Tag a session by focus: technique, repertoire, sight reading, improvisation and five more. Write quick notes mid-session without stopping the clock. Add a photo of the passage you are working on. ANY INSTRUMENT Fifty-plus instruments across strings, keys, wind, percussion and voice, from guitar and piano to sitar, tabla, bansuri and harmonium. Track as many as you play. SHARE IT, OR DON'T Generate a session card for Instagram or WhatsApp. Connect Strava and your practice lands in the same feed as your runs and rides. Both entirely optional, and the app works fully without either. Your practice history is private to your account. Nothing is deleted and nothing is sold. You can remove any session, or your whole account, from inside the app at any time.

What's New in Duende

1.0.1

September 5, 2026

First release. Time a practice session, tag what you worked on, and keep the record. The timer runs on your phone's clock, so it keeps counting with the screen off. Turn the microphone on and Duende separates playing from silence, judging against your own room rather than a fixed level so it holds up wherever you practise. Streaks, a thirteen-week activity heatmap, fifty-plus instruments, and an optional Strava connection that puts your practice alongside your runs and rides.
