Not for anything urgent
Wouldn’t accept any of my credit cards and also wouldn’t let me meet with a doctor until my credit card was in. So much for getting care urgently. This is a disaster of an app with no help if you call customer service.
A very happy unintended patient!
While my wife and I were on vacation in the Durham area, I discovered an insect bite that looked very much like a tick bite with the dreaded concentric red rings. The attending doctor was a consummate professional, utterly personable and pleasant, and acted swiftly to address my situation. Duke Anywhere was an outstanding service that left me with a course of treatment and peace of mind!

Good experience
As a benefits manager I have recommended virtual visits to employees many times but have never used myself so this was a good experience for me. Being sick and uncomfortable enough to try this, I found it simple and quite helpful. It saved me time and more importantly I got help.

Convenient Care
My primary care tele-health visit was extremely convenient and efficient. Not having to wait for a primary care physician office to open at 8am, and drive to that doctor’s office saved me time. I scheduled my tele-health visit via the Duke Anywhere app around 5:00am and I was finished with my appointment at 5:25am. When you need healthcare, the last thing you want is to be more inconvenienced. This app allowed me to get the care I needed in a timely and efficient manner.

Very convenient!
I’ve used the app a few times this year. Each time, has been a pleasant experience with the Provider. I love that you can see a profile of the physicians and select the one you’d like to see. I’m grateful for this service and I applaud the doctors who elect to offer care in this way. Thank you!!
App works fine, providers aren’t great
The app worked really well and the service desk support was great.
The provider service wasn’t great. The provider I worked with didn’t send any follow-up information nor did they submit the Rx in a timely manner. There is no way to contact a provider directly to inquire about issues, either. You have to call a service desk, they have to submit a ticket, and you’re at the mercy of a provider to respond in a timely way.
This would be a better program if checks were put in place to ensure providers completed all tasks for one patient prior to seeing others.

Great Visit with an Amazing Provider
My visit with Dr. Porter via the app was awesome. She was able to convey her sense of caring even though we were not in the same room. I truly appreciated the information she provided and feel safe in her care.

I’m thankful for the hard working medical staff but also for the IT staff that set up the ability to have these types of visits. I’m sure the IT workers worked long hours considering the size of the Duke Hospital Staff transferring to TeleCommuting. Those are behind the scene heroes as well.

Wonderful experience
My experience with this service has been amazing. I had a uti . My regular doctor wanted me to come in despite the coronavirus pandemic going around. I downloaded this and seen in doctor in a couple minutes for $20. My antibiotics were at the pharmacy and filled within 30 minutes of my virtual visit. I highly recommend this tele doctor.

Frustrating wait
A few nights ago, I tried for 4 hours to see a doctor via the app, but the app kept closing out on me. Several times, I was next in line to see a doctor when it closed out, and when I got back in, I was back at the end of the line for whomever was next available. I finally cancelled the “appointment,” and had a smooth experience on the website the next morning.
I love the concept of the app, and hope the reliability improves with time! (8plus iPhone user)

Charged and never saw anyone
They charged me $20 when I waited 3 hours and Dr Sapna decided to log off when my turn was up. Please do not use this APP! Use mychart this APP is flawed
