Very buggy lately

App freezes and blinds me with a pure white screen when I initially try to enter text. Have to close out the app but sometimes it happens twice in a row. Very annoying. Loved this app before. This issue only happens with this app.

My Absolute Favorite App of All Time!!!🏆🥇

This app is so simple and straightforward, which is where its extraordinary power lies.
I’ve been using this app for years, and If you are extremely visual like me, you’ll love the idea of just moving things around like you’d move post-it’s on an endless vision board.
The ability to set up seemingly endless nests and sub-nests of nesting notes is crucial to me for keeping from being overwhelmed by the volume and numerous branches of my thoughts and notes.
You can organize items at your whim and trust that everything will sync immediately between you and your collaborators.
From what I’ve been reading, this app is apparently not being supported anymore. Is that true?
Everyone I have turned on to this app has thanked me profusely and we all continue to use it religiously.
There is no substitute from what I can see.

Awesome, but lacking

Love how simple and easy to use it is, and especially a fan of how it works seamlessly going between my computer and phone.
NOT! a fan however, of how teeny tiny the checkboxes are, and how there's no option to change their size. Would love to see that fixed!

Garbage data collection

Forces you to give up your email address or Facebook account the moment you open it. No other way to use it. I recommend using uFocused instead

Amazing mobile outliner

This app is so good that I still use it despite it being nearly abandoned by its developer for years now. It’s just soooo good. Like it’s so feature complete there’s basically nothing I can’t do on mobile that I can do on the desktop version. And it’s so well designed, all the common things I need to do are super quick and easy, none of my time feels wasted. And it’s super performant even on old devices. Seriously the devs made an incredible app and then abandoned it but I’m not even mad cause it’s still so good 😩 (there are definitely flaws and minor bugs but none of them significantly damage the experience at least for me)

Basically abandoned

The buttons at the bottom of the screen can’t be clicked with the Magic Keyboard trackpad (iPad). No updates in >3 years, such a shame.

Practically perfect in every way

I love Dynalist and have used it every day for several years. It is by far the best and easiest to use outliner, note taker and all round PKMS out there. Ligtning fast, reliable sync, all the features you need and none you dont. Very highly recommended.

New version 1.4.16 makes unusable

Previous versions allowed you to hide or expand the left panel with all your documents and folders, as well as adjust the width of the panel. This was a key feature to maintain a highlevel view at all time. The new versions auto-hide the documents and folders and therefore reduces the ability to review and scan your work with ease.

Please improve the mindmapping…allow different layouts and editing

I understand this is primarily an outliner. But there is so much potential if this allowed data to be viewed interchangeably between the outline and mindmap based on your filters. The mindmap is an afterthought and so limited and clunky making it rarely useful. Transno is gone and nothing else does this cleanly.

There are no layouts options, there is no editing available, no way to add thumbnail images in the mindmap.

Obsidian is overly complex to get these core features and it doesn’t seem possible to get a straightforward outlining and minimizing setup out of it anyways.

Please developers. This is a paid service and it hasn’t been updated in years. Make the mindmap as useful as the outline or allow developers to create plugins for this like obsidian.

Dynalist changed the way I organize my life

This app is brilliant in its simplicity. It does the small things so well, is responsive/quick, seamlessly sync across devices, has the flexibility for you to create systems for yourself, and even though the developers haven’t been actively working on it since obsidian blew up, it’s still my favorite task manager/note taking app. Give it a try!

I use the Desktop and web app all the time!

After going through several outliners like OmniOutliner and Workflowy, it was Dynalist that one out.
Dynalist developers: this is the best outlining software! Please keep supporting this just as you’ve been improving Obsidian.

Fantastic list app

One of my top 3 productivity apps. The core feature - hierarchical, navigatable lists - works well and is super useful, and extra features like being able to format text, create multiple list documents, organize them in folders, and easily move items to other documents, set it apart from similar list apps.

If only it would sync

Can sometimes take days to sync. Otherwise this app is great. I would pay for premium if they would fix this glaring issue.

Unfortunately due to their lack of attention to a clear problem, I have little faith that this app will last so I will be changing to something else.

Once you start using it, you’ll wonder how you managed without it!

Let’s be honest: WorkFlowy is a great app … so great in fact that you’ll wind up filling it up with so much stuff that it can easily become an overwhelming, cluttered mess — and that’s where Dynalist comes to the rescue with a more robust (but still simple and intuitive) approach that thoughtfully adds in both useful and category-leading features like line-item due dates and quick-and-easy multi-colored highlighting; no matter what you’re keeping track of using Dynalist, whether it be shopping lists, work projects or personal notes … with its rich palette of useful features ranging from a dedicated “Inbox” to browser extensions to clip things while you surf the web to sub-notes to tags (which are there to make things easier but not at all mandatory, depending on how simple you want your setup) and much more, Dynalist is the e perfect app for keeping your stuff arranged just the way you like it! True team has been around for many years, they have consistently added new and useful features and they’re very generous with their approach to letting you try most features for free (really free, not “you’ll be billed after this trial period”) — and should you desire the extra features (like Dropbox/Google Drive SimpleText-based backups for peace of mind), the price of entry is more than reasonable considering how useful Dynalist will become to you at that point. Truly one of my “must have” apps and more than likely the very first app I’d install in a replacement computer/phone. Can’t say enough good things about it including that in all the time I’ve made use of it, not only has it grown to become a sort of “second brain” but I’ve literally never had any sort of technical issue with the app — EVER … not even so much as a slight hiccup (speaks to the good coding that makes the app run)

Outstanding

Lean and mean list app with many useful features and a smart intuitive UI design.

Not intuitive to start and no support

Not intuitive to get started and although it offered email support contact the reply was that they actually didn’t offer it to the free version so why did I bother having that contact in the free version other than that they are hoping to sell you up to the paid version which I suspect is the whole point of this. I have found better options out there so I’m deleting this
