Step backward !!
This used to be a very user friendly app and website . The redesign is not pleasing and the app and website are both now very clunky and hard to use !
User Interface Issues
The revised user interface is horrible and makes me not want to use the app. I frequently scrolled through EBTH but stopped because of the interface - I just checked to see if it had improved (it hasn’t) so I will likely stop using it again
Most recent App update is awful
I’ve used this app for years with no issues. However, I cannot explain how awful the most recent app update is. It makes the entire user experience so much more difficult and the app such a headache to navigate. I’m begging the team to please reverse the updates to be more similar to the old version.

Bring back the old app. This new web based app is the worst.
Many recent problems
Cross platform compatibility is lacking. Some functions don’t work or simply don’t even show up depending on whether you use a phone or a tablet.
Also, there are now useless advertisements for their own site that are simply unneeded and get in the way of trying to navigate. The photos take forever to load. Finally, the menus at the top and bottom of the screen take up too much space and make the site cluttered.

The latest version that makes it a web page and not an app is really terrible. Not a positive change at all.

New Version Is Horrible
So this is just a web browser in an app? I almost have no words for how bad this version is. Long time ebth user, and this new version is such a disappointment. It’s like the UX was designed to be as inconvenient as possible. I’m deleting the app after I finish writing this review, because browsing this app is genuinely such a bad experience.

Interface WAS good, now Terrible
When I first started using the app a few months ago it was great. Now the app displays more like a mobile web page than an app and I can’t find anything I’m looking for. Where are my saved searches? The navigation setup is terrible. Not sure what’s happening but it’s impossible to navigate.
Bring back the old version!
Ugh. I used to love this app, but the recent redesign makes the user experience so frustrating. It's slow, difficult to navigate.
Horrible new user interface-WHY?
Wow- this is a new pandemic with apps. You took something that was wonderful, intuitive and extremely user friendly and completely trashed it. I no longer visit the app or bid on items. The images are dinky, the images don’t load, navigation blows. I used to look at EBTH auctions everyday with my morning cup of coffee-now, it’s a hard pass. Shame on whatever “genius”/ AI lover thought this was the move that would generate more interaction or business or synergy with your website. Do the right thing and ditch this version-go back to the previous. Stop hating on your customers. Won’t be back until you fix it-

App is Ruined
The app is more like a webpage now than a functioning app. Everytime you click on an item, then go back, it takes you to the top of the page. There are no page transitions. It’s unusable now.
App redesign is terrible please revert back
The current app update to simply load the website is awful—the previous version of the app was great and is not improved by this update. The product imagery in list view is all so low res nothing looks appealing and the new UI looks very shoddy and amateur. Load times are slow, and you’ve wasted so much screen real estate with the ugly prompt to sell with EBTH. Product detail pages are a righteous mess; absolutely flooded with unnecessary links/text/buttons and herky jerky scroll animations. Can you please go back?

Updates are a downgrade
The thumbnail quality of the items is so LOW now! Makes quick searching impossible, to where it’s not worth it. We want to SEE the items we’re gonna bid $$$ on.

Horrendous Update
The updated app is horrible and essentially is like using a browser within the app. The old version was great and easy to browse (which I did almost daily) now I don’t even shop EBTH because I hate the app so much.
Bad Overhaul - Mediocre Web App
As others have mentioned, the previous app used to work fine with only a few quirks that weren’t great. It seems like they’ve just replaced the actual app with the mobile site in a wrapper. It didn’t fix any of the quirks, added several more, is super slow, not intuitive at all, and just overall feels like they decided they could cut costs at the expense of their customers. Hopefully whatever accountant and middle manager decided this was a good idea gets fired and someone that actually understands what they’re doing and how to calculate the costs vs benefit of a functioning app can fix this.
They also used to combine shipping costs on multiple items purchased from the same auction and had several more locations. So the cutting customer service and what the business offers as a cost saving measure is unfortunately not a new thing and maybe just signals that the company doesn’t have the management it needs to succeed and is continuing in the wrong direction.
Hopefully they get it figured out. If not I’m sure someone else will be along to try to fill the market gap. It’s not like it’s a challenging business model. It shouldn’t be so hard for them.

Hate the update
The new app interface is just their website. It’s painfully slow and impossible to use. I’ve purchased easily thousands of dollars of items from ebth in the past and I’ve deleted the app. Will never use again unless they fix it.
