Tired of seeing apps with the same onboarding flow and trying to charge you as soon as you complete the onboarding. You can tell this was done using AI just like many other apps out there. The interface doesn’t make sense. Put more thought into it. Also 20 dollars a month for such a simple app. Full money grab

Fair points, mostly. The paywall one is right. Asking for money before you'd seen Echo do anything was a bad call. It now comes after your first real focus session instead. It's still a paid app, and I won't pretend otherwise, but now you get to judge it on something. The price also came down to $9.99/month, from what you saw. On the interface, I can't do anything with "doesn't make sense" until I know where it lost you. Tell me which screen and how, and we'll fix that specific thing. Alex, Echo

Four months on Echo after a year on Blitzit. Same architecture: tasks, live timer, pomodoro, one panel in the menu bar. Blitzit handles that well. Start a task, the timer runs, complete it, the timer stops. Fast, clean, gets you into flow quickly.
The separation is idle tracking. Blitzit measures task duration. Echo measures presence within the session. A 50 minute block splits into actual focused time versus idle, so a session reads as 50 minute timer, 38 minute work. Blitzit reports the timer. Echo reports the work. For accurate time data, that distinction matters.
Distraction logging is marginal. Idle tracking is the feature worth paying for. Blitzit captures intended time. Echo captures real time.
