Still very buggy
App doesn’t respond to taps to go into comfort settings and then takes many taps to back out of them. Far too complicated. I see no improvements for years despite many updates.

This app and thermostats are overrated and overly complicated to use. Trying to set a schedule on your system is a total pain and it’s just an ineffective setup overall. The dehumidify setting doesn’t work as our system consistently lets the humidity exceed the 50% threshold that’s set as well. It is nice to be able to adjust your HVAC temps via your mobile phone, but that’s where any good with ecobee stops.

Terrible
Hooked up the app and my AC stopped working. Set the schedules and comfort levels, and no luck. It all worked perfectly before connecting the app. Thanks for nothing ecobee.
Could be easier to navigate
For some tasks, it would be easier to navigate. For example, setting the fan mode timer takes me into at least 2 screens. Turning HVAC off or changing modes also jumps 2 screens and multiple taps. Would be easier if these were just put on the home main screen. Weather not helpful on the main screen, instead our HVAC system status like fan running. Thanks

Can you add rest of world countries to the App. I am unable to find my country to set the correct time.
New Update creates Havoc
Was perfect until
Update, now keeps clearing out schedules! and automatically defaults to next day when try to enter new setting during daytime hours, eg, it’s Thursday and you want to update the temperature between 2 and 4 PM. It automatically throws Friday in there, and then deletes other sched/days. It’s reset the entire week multiple times.

Alarmingly Inconsistent
App just stops working every week or two, then takes 30 mins of trouble shooting to get back online. Connecting with support takes forever and their messaging couldn’t be more inconsistent. This is just a really bad app, I would recommend another at any cost.
Keeps Going Offline
I’ve only had my new thermostat for a couple of months. In the last month, it goes offline and I can’t get it to come back on by going the through setup again. And again. For a week or so, it would suddenly be online again. ?? Then go off. Now the app states it’s offline and I can’t get it back up.
Very irritating. Customer service has not been helpful. I’m going to try resetting everything. When it is online and working — it’s great. I like the convenience of it and its simplicity. But it’s not convenient when it’s not online. Obviously.

Eco+
I can’t stand it. Every time I want to change the thermostat, it asks if I want to disable eco+ no!! I just want to adjust the thermostat!

Extremely frustrated
It auto sets the temperature to 74 and keeps that on a schedule. I’ve been trying to set it down to 72 and it keeps going to 74. I get it’s probably possible to get it to stop but I’ve been trying for an hour and it’s not intuitive enough to do so. I’ll figure this out but it’s extremely annoying.
Who thought of the Scheduling functionality?
I want to give top stars for whoever thought of the scheduling functionality. Its so intuitive, its just great to have the app do the thinking and add blocks on its own and completely mess up what I am trying to do. And there is no functionality to clear all the schedule it messes up so I can start fresh.

Schedule is a nightmare
The ecobee app schedule is a NIGHTMARE. It’s so hard to switch between schedules and settings for the schedule are not intuitive. PLEASE add an away toggle button. I shouldn’t have to change my entire schedule just bc I’m going to be out of town. The schedule feature is over-complicated and hard to read. UI/UX needs some serious attention.

You’d think they’d let you know that they update either the app or the firmware, but you get to SURPRISE find out when it suddenly deletes all your settings.

Recent Update
I noticed with the most recent update that the display is not showing that you’ve added that the fan run for a set time like 2 hours. Before the update if you wanted the fan to run for a set time then you went to the fan on the app and selected the fan to run for 2 hours. It would then show on the main screen that the fan was set to a certain time to run but now is showing the AC is set to a specific temperature instead like it does when you adjust the temperature to something different. Please fix as when it’s extremely hot and humid running the ran an extra time helps with the humidity.

Easy install and intuitive interface
After 36, years it seemed time for thermostat replacement. It turned out to be much easier than anticipated…5 wires. Unit control settings and app integration, functionality are equally easy.

Sync to Apple Watch no longer works
Up until this past week I was able to track the ecobee with my Apple Watch. Now it says off. The app on my phone still shows our away mode is working but I’m a little uneasy about it since the watch says it’s off.
