Missing Push Notification
No Push Notification on iPhone only E-Mail. This feels like 1999. Very sad - miss this the most.

I recently bought a WS3900 weather station and went to set it up. Be warned the instructions are rubbish and was not straight forward to get it up and running. Once I had realised there is an app for set up (WS View Plus) and this one for daily use, it became a little clearer and with some fumbling about managed to get the device up and running.
The hardware is great, connected well and the range of the sensors to the base unit is really impressive.
However when it came to registering via this app that’s when things started going wrong.
Trying to register for an account, it asks for email followed by a Captcha code request which is one button and an automated email sends the code. Except no code ever arrives. Checked junk and inbox, so tried the same with another email provider .. same again.
Thought I would register via website same again.
Contacted customer services who stated codes had been sent, so must me an email provider issues or caught in a scam filter. But two different email providers plus two different ways of trying to register all failed. After an initial flurry of emails their customer service has gone dark with no replies or responses being received. Very poor customer service and communication. I wouldn’t recommend buying equipment if the software interface doesn’t work. Which really has spoiled my experience.

Doesn’t connect to my WiFi because it’s too fast.
Do not recommend this weather station until they fix the app and internet connectivity

Wer dieses Produkt installieren will, sollte sich viel Zeit nehmen und sich sehr gut mit Gateway, Router und komplizierten Installationen auskennen. Mit dem Handy auf die Daten der Wetterstation zuzugreifen ist sehr aufwendig und hat sogar nach stundenlangem Einrichten funktioniert.
Doch vermutlich nach einem Update vor ein paar Monaten funktioniert das nicht mehr. Entweder findet er den Gateway nicht oder er akzeptiert den Gateway und es geht trotzdem nicht.
Fazit: Hardware ok, Software katastrophal.

Needs better UX
The setup of devices couldn’t have been easier! Unfortunately once you have a bunch of linked sensors the app only shows 2-3 of them at a time with no way to view all at a glance. There’s also no way to shift the weekly or monthly graph view one day at a time meaning that every new week or month it cuts off most of the previous graph data with no way to view the most recent trend.

Great but one massive improvement needed
Great app, works seamlessly with the dozen sensors I have running. My only issue is I would like to get notifications when my water sensor is going off, when the temperature gets too high on a certain sensor, when the air quality is bad, etc.
Not usable without account
It’s my local weather station, forcing account creation just to connect to the quite expensive sensor I fully paid and own is not acceptable.
The website is better
Unfortunately this app doesn’t show the graphs under the status tiles like the website does. You have to go to the menu, choose graphs, choose your graph (It can only show one at a time) to see them.
The website just allows you to scroll down through the graphs on one page. Much better usability for me, so I’ll keep using that.

Just get a message saying we’re sorry with a sad face emoji.
Notification Integration is Lacking
Although it’s not very efficient in using limited phone screen space, the app does a nice job providing current conditions and charting weather history.
I also can’t get alerts to show as notifications, or summarized in badges in IOS. That Integration is long overdue. You shouldn’t have to check for alerts within the app or log into email to find out you have a system alarm that’s hours or days old.

Good App
Unbeatable except by fully professional weather stations
I have been using this kit for 5 years. To be clear, I don’t use the haptic rain output nor the wind sensor. I prefer using the anemometer and the physical rain gauge, the latter separately mounted. The rain gauge needs cleaning twice yearly. The tipper gathers black mould or lichen. I am a Building Surveyor and use the data for work. I also have 39 Longi solar panels and Victron equipment that gives direct data on solar gain so I don’t log that data. Remember to back up a years data a day before the anniversary each year when you lose it.

Decent app, but the recent changes to require login frequently, but without biometrics is super annoying.

Lots of polarizing reviews here. The app for my rather large weather station meets all of my needs.
It’s not incredibly polished, but it is extremely practical, and that’s really all I care about.
It could absolutely use some more TLC in terms of UX/UI, but it’s one of those things where, once you learn how the app likes to do things, it becomes perfect.
In other words, there’s a small, worthwhile learning curve… after which, you end up with little left to be desired.
In short, it does what it needs to do, and I thoroughly enjoy using the app.
It’s not incredibly polished, but it is extremely practical, and that’s really all I care about.

Used to be wonderful
I was loving using this app and device until the most recent update which no longer seems to be compatible with most recent version of iOS. Sure hope this can get fixed.
