Workflows Need Better Integration
The Egnyte mobile app makes Review & Approval workflows harder to use than they need to be. When viewing a document, there is no way to see or access the Review & Approval workflow associated with that file, so approvals have to be completed from the Tasks view instead of from the document itself. Since Tasks are organized by workflow title (which is user-defined and often doesn’t match the document name), finding the correct workflow can require scrolling through the list because there is no search function—only sorting and filtering options. It’s also not possible to view the status of a document’s workflow if you are not a participant in that workflow. Linking workflows to the document and adding workflow search would make the mobile experience much more intuitive and efficient.

Not Compatible with Most Recent IOS update
Not working, and is slowing down my work schedule eating into personal time.
Great app, but needs one more thing.
There needs to be a way to add a custom name to bookmarked files/folders. I have several book marks that are in a similar folder structure for multiple projects, it would be much easier to keep track of which is which with custom names.
Upload error on photos
When I take photos through the app to upload, with preview mode, once I select upload 50%-70% consistency have an error and must be uploaded by tapping each separately to retry.
Uploading Photos is Often a Nightmare
My main issue is that I often have to upload many photos at the end of the day for work.
If for whatever reason the connection is poor I’m stuck on a never ending loop of selecting, attempting to upload, failed to upload, unable to upload… Then I have to sit there and click upload constantly until it finally (hopefully) goes through.
Egnyte is not capable of telling me some or all have already been uploaded so I have to go through the full process again and again. If I could set it to upload and it would occur once the connection had improved that would be hugely beneficial.
Currently stuck emailing the photos to myself (which works on the same connection) and then uploading them that way. So it’s obviously not my connection that is the issue.

Sign in needed!!!
It’s very convenient to have an app that accesses the website. However, I can now open the app without using a password! This is supposed to be a secure app. This issue needs to be fixed immediately or the app is useless. If I lose my phone, anyone has access to the information.

Removed markup accessibility
With the last update you removed the markup accessibility on the mobile version, and made it substantially harder to save files back into Egnyte. That was the whole purpose we were using it, now it’s rendered useless, so we will likely move everything back to OneDrive
Egnyte is awesome on an iPhone
I work for a GC and Egnyte just rocks for finding files on a file server while on a job site. Progress photos, plans, Subcontracts PDFs, etc…

APP just crashes
Keep going through login and app just crashes. So much for integration across platforms!
Good when it works
Whenever I turn my iPad off this app prompts me to resign in and I get stuck in a loop of log in successfully then it kicks me to relogin again, and again
Best in the Business
As an IT consultant that has been using this system for 12 years, it’s undoubtedly one of the most intuitive and exceptional services we use. One of the last companies with a great tech support that responds quickly and effectively. Our team loves it as does our clients. They’ve been way ahead of the game on configurations, management and features though some have caught up but still not as good. Highly recommended Egnyte for a hybrid cloud file system.

Keeps kicking me out on iOS devices.
Lately the app constantly kicks me out on iOS/iPadOS. Seems to be a glitch from a recent update. No issues on other platforms.

Do the writers of the positive reviews actually use Egnyte?
Egnyte is perhaps the worst and least reliable cloud service in the planet. Do the positive reviewers actually use this app or the service?
The whole point is collaboration which just doesn’t work on iOS or iPodOS (or anything else). Unacceptably high downtime. V poor integration with apple ecosystem. Try moving files back and forth with files app. Just try it.
Do yourself a favor and use a modern cloud provider. iCloud, google, Dropbox, box, even share point. Just don’t waste your time with Egnyte.

Not a good design
App is difficult to use. Many steps just to do one thing. I’m not sure the purpose of app. It actually makes the process more cumbersome
Customer service went down hill
I’ve been a customer for 10 years. Had a legacy deal at $50 a month. All I want is more storage, yet they’re trying to force me to a new plan. So, just to get more storage, my plan would more than double.
I’ve asked to talk to a manager but they will not respond. They force a rep on me who will not respond to my emails. He just charges our account for the new huge price of around $179 a month.
All the other companies we’ve been with the same time show respect to our loyalty, as they should. Simian gave us free storage and kept the price the same out of respect for our loyalty.
USE A COMPANY THAT RESPECTS YOUR BUSINESS. NOT Egnyte!!! Use to love them. Not anymore. Customer service matters!

App gives ‘access forbidden, you are no longer authorised, please log in again’ error, without any log out / log in options anywhere in the app.
