Hello. Sorry for the frustration. The Aqua Mail account is mainly for license/subscription management, not for storing or syncing your email account settings across devices. For privacy and security, Aqua Mail does not store your mailbox passwords, OAuth tokens, or full account configurations on our servers, so each device has to be set up separately or restored from a local backup. We understand that automatic device-to-device setup would be useful, and your feedback is noted.

Unter iOS nicht zu gebrauchen
Nach einem Wechsel auf Apple bin ich nun sehr enttäuscht. Nicht nur, dass die Funktionalität hier viel geringer ausfällt (damit hätte ich sogar noch Leben können. Auch mit der Tatsache, dass ich nun jährlich 29 € zahlen soll ist nichtmal mein Problem), auch sind die Fehler leider zu umfangreich.
Ständig werden Konten „vergessen“ (da kommt bei einer 2-Faktor-Authentifizierung richtig Freude auf). Über neue Mails wird mannicht benachrichtigt - man muss die App aktiv öffnen und selber nachsehen. Die Ladezeiten sind unglaublich lang. Auch „Löschen“ von Mails braucht eine ganze Weile, bis das mal an den Server durchgestellt ist und man die App schließen kann.
Seit dem vorletzten Update kann mein Kauf (oder besser „Abo“) nicht wieder hergestellt werden.
Jetzt ist mir die Lust vergangen. Abo ist gekündigt und nun nutze ich die App des Mailanbieters. Die ist zwar nicht so schön, aber funktioniert wenigstens.
Und nein, ich will dem Support keine Nachricht schreiben. Ich will mich überhaupt nicht damit beschäftigen. Bei einem solchen Abo (für das ich gerne bereit bin zu bezahlen) erwarte ich einfach, dass es funktioniert.
Schade - war mal richtig schön mit Aquamail.

Hello Ferry, We are really sorry for the experience you’ve had, especially after using Aqua Mail for so long. What you described sounds frustrating, and we understand the disappointment when the app should be dependable. For iOS specifically, “accounts forgotten” and missing notifications are usually related to OAuth/sign-in token refresh and iOS background/push settings expiring or being restricted. Long loading and slow delete can also happen when background refresh and push are limited. If you ever want to double-check without a full support conversation, please verify these basics: iOS Settings > Notifications for Aqua Mail are enabled, iOS Settings > General > Background App Refresh is enabled for Aqua Mail, and in Aqua Mail try Restore Purchases from the subscription screen (so the annual purchase reconnects to your Apple account). We’re also taking your bug report seriously. Thank you for sharing this, even though it didn’t meet your expectations.

I keep checking ..
Just tried again after months away, used the same settings as in Apple’ Mail client yet won’t even setup my IMAP account (“Unstable server connection”, whatever that means). I used the option to send them a log (multiple times) so hopefully they will take a look and figure it out (also hopefully they use some other channel other than their own email to get the log sent ’cause the email won’t set up in the first place).

Doch ein Auto das nicht fährt, ist nicht wirklich ein Auto.
Aquamail hat bei mir einige Emails als „versendet“ gemeldet, das jedoch nicht getan und dafür die Nachricht komplett verschwinden lassen. Das kam erst nach und nach ans Licht.
Somit leider „nicht brauchbar“.

Hello vanWengade. If Aqua Mail showed a message as sent but it is missing, the first things to check are the Outbox in Aqua Mail and the Sent folder in the provider’s webmail. If the message is not in webmail Sent, then it most likely was not accepted by the SMTP server, or the account’s sent-copy mapping is wrong. Please check the account’s outgoing settings in Aqua Mail and confirm the correct SMTP server, port, security, and login are being used. Also check that the Sent folder is correctly assigned for that account. If this is a POP3 account, sent messages are not synced from the server the same way as IMAP, so behavior can differ. Very disappointing
Нормально не работает
На иконке приложения, при получении новых писем, не появляется счетчик непрочитанных писем. Это счетчик появится если открыть приложение, увидеть, что есть непрочитанные письма, а потом свернуть приложение. От аккаунта mail.ru нет даже уведомлений о получении новых писем. Нужно открыть приложение и потом увидеть, что эти письма есть. Про другие, более мелкие проблемы и писать не буду.

Please update Aqua Mail and test again. If it still feels slow after updating, let us know your email provider and account type so we can look deeper.

Hello. Thank you for your long-time support, we truly appreciate it. Legacy Pro (one-time) licenses are tied to the Android platform and unfortunately cannot be transferred to iOS. If you’d prefer not to use a subscription, you can visit our website and look for available one-off (lifetime) options for iOS.
