Not so fast! The Endless RPG 2.0 update brought massive changes and updates to the app, and the 13 updates since the 2.0 release have continued to add features including monsters that can level up in classes, so you can go up against goblin necromancers and kobold shamans (druids).
Not sure if bugged
I couldn't find where to report a bug, but I use this on my iPad, and under D&D rules it seems to work perfectly. I am currently playing a Pathfinder character with it though, and while quick adventure works fine, if I load a random map, it always freezes on the loading screen and I have to restart my iPad to reopen the app.

The description is misleading
While it does generate dungeons, it’s primarily a game.
You can create random maps however there is no way to download those maps to use for a game.
It’s not a bad game. It’s not a great game either.
It was, however, a waste of my money as it did it fulfill the description that the developer gave.

There is a map export feature that will email the map to you. That may not have been in the app in 2020, but was added sometime in early 2020.
Not what I expected.
The Combat screen is very basic information. The monsters are set to 5e even if you choose pathfinder. At least I thought pathfinder was similar to original d&d. Perhaps I'm wrong.

The monster stat screen will show the monster's stats based on the system used when creating the map. I try to keep the descriptions basic to respect the D&D and Pathfinder creators.
Freezes up
Freezes up when you try and view entire map, enter combat and various other instances that are crucial to play. Don’t waste your dollars.

Almost perfect!
I’m using this app as DM and it is almost perfect!
I gave 4 stars just because I found 1 issue and because I think it lacks of some of features.
Issue:
you can’t see the whole map or the base map if you are not tried to send via email first (I always had black screen before such operation)
Features I’d suggest:
1. Add more type of monster at once per map (now is limited to one type)
2. Add the number of encounter per map (now randomly and few on my point of view)
3. Set the size and the level (floors) per map
And it would be perfect!
(I’d would happy to have also as in app purchase add-on, it would worth it IMO!)

It is what it says it is...
This app does everything it says it will. With that being said, it would be nice to add some variables such as bigger or smaller rooms, but it is random. The selections are for dungeons, do not expect an outdoor area. Yes you can send the map by email, however the bigger the map, the less pixel quality it maintains. Generally this app is pretty good. If you could create a section where the DM could add or remove from the map, that would make this the best app available. I’m glad you added the auto-assign for new characters. This makes the random dungeon creator pop-up automatically.

This app doesn’t work. When ever you start an encounter and enter the fight, it immediately freezes and you cant even move to see where your characters are. This is a complete waste of money. DO NOT BUY IT.

Amazing app
The app is great, it generates maps and populates them with monsters and treasure. One thing that I think could be improved is the ability to occupy squares were enemies die or be able to delete the dead enemies. Also the size of the enemies is not accurate monsters that should 4 squares only occupy 1, not really a big deal though.

Misleading description and functionality
Not worth the $3. Does not randomly generate adventures as advertised. Only comes with two static maps with no way to create more. Insufficient documentation. Can't view the actual map for the cr1 adventure. When combat occurs, screen goes black.

Uncool! I don't know what dungeon creator is or what you were wanting, but Endless RPG doesn't have map creation tools. You can alter some things, but it is mainly intended for solo play or for DMs to use for quick one-offs.
Well worth the price (for weird people like me)
I didn’t have very high expectations of this app. I’d never heard of it before finding it in the App Store, but in a most uncharacteristic fashion I decided to give it a chance. I set the bar pretty low: if this app could amuse me for at least an hour, it would have been worth $2.00. It exceeded my expectations.
There are already plenty of fully automated RPG videogames on the market. If you want one of those, I don’t know how you ended up here, because statistically speaking, it’s unbelievably improbable. This app isn’t for you though, literally thousands of other apps are.
If you’re a tabletop RPG addict who is away from his RPing paraphernalia, armed with nothing but a smartphone, but reeeaalllyyy wants a way to satiate your craving to roll dice, use rulebooks, and write on a character sheet, even if you’re all alone, then this app is like instant coffee to a coffee drinker. Yes, you’d prefer Starbucks, but caffeine is caffeine.
To that end, you’ll also need a rule book app or pdf, a dice rolling app, and a character sheet app, which I already have. Moreover troubled individuals may not need a character sheet to know all of their stats... I think I have a problem.
I’m going to stop typing now so I can go back to killing imaginary skeletons and talking to people who don’t exist. At least I don’t have to make up the dungeon layouts and come up with encounters by myself anymore though.

Need work
This needs allot of work! It lagged and froze the whole time we tried it. The monsters only have hit points and initiative no armor class attacks anything else you have to try to come up with on the fly or look that creature up which was frustrating. It could also do with more narration the story line is a very short couple of sentences: "your going into a cave, we have had a big goblin problem recently." You can't use the roll when you are in the battle which is odd but not really a problem since we don't mind using dice. It is an odd feature to have a roll generator but not have it available during combat. after combat there is nothing.... no you pop up that says you killed blank and gained this loot. You just adjust your monsters hit points down then hit end combat and need to go check you treasure page to see what's been added. Lastly you must screenshot your loot before leaving the dungeon you can not check your treasure at the inn it is cleared out upon leaving the dungeon. I will say you do get a warning about this it says to check your treasure before you leave and make sure you have everything because you can't come back in or something along those lines.
Overall after using it once I am deleting it. a night off DMing it is not at this time. I hope they make some improvements it could be a fun way to play. We had it connected to the tv which everyone was excited about getting to play sitting on he cozy couches.... and I was exited to be a player for the night.... but we all ended up very bored and disappointed. The game was it fun played this way.

Early days but already a fantastic D&D aid
I saw this mentioned on a FB D&D page, downloaded it to support the author and was pleasantly surprised that it was so good at this early stage. Allows a DM-less group to play a dungeon, cave, ruin etc. populated with mobs suited to their level. Also useful for a DM to knock up a quick challenge for their group. Hopefully the rapid updates expanding functionality continue and the app becomes a “go to” tool for players and DMs alike. Certainly worth the money and I hope the author makes a tidy profit. Well deserved 5 stars. More power to the indie authors making great tools.

App has potential
I bought and messed around with this after seeing it mentioned by the author on reddit. While it’s certainly not very polished or swimming in features, it is good for generating and stocking a basic dungeon with monsters, treasure and traps.
I don't know if the adults I DM 5e for would appreciate these dungeons, but the kids I run “The Black Hack” for will get more than $.99 of fun out of it. Even though it comes with settings for 5e D&D snd Pathfinder only, I don't think I’ll have many if any problems using it with “The Black Hack” rules.

Lots of fun.Would like if roll dice was also in combat maps/quick combat.Also would like if monster AC was also listed.Would also like if made statistics for old school games also like Labyrinth Lord.Great as is though.

Listen, if you thought this was a game in and of itself, it’s not. This lovely beast is a means by which people can play them some Tabletop RPG (you need paper and dice) without needing someone to run it (DM or GM depending on how you consume this type of game). You have to build your own character! That said, this little monkey is brilliant at setting up a random dungeon that everyone could play and, if you have Apple TV and a projector, everyone could see. While I still like being a DM, this might do for a night off. Would still like to see the ability to scroll the map without moving the character. Otherwise, too marks!
