Good luck, we can do this

Long past due, if you’re ready to be honest with yourself, get started

Response from developer

Thank you. Being honest with yourself is the hardest part and the part that actually matters. The rest follows from there. Good luck to you too.

Thanks God bless

Honestly helped me more than anything else. Give me motivation when I needed it and didn’t cost me any money.

Response from developer

Thank you. Keeping the core Safari blocker free is important for everyone. Glad the motivation landed when you needed it. If you ever want more, Premium offers much more. But the free version isn’t going anywhere. Keep going.

I’m 14 hope this helps me quit for good

Hope

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing that. Starting this young is a real advantage. You’re building the habit before it gets harder. Take it one day at a time, and don’t be hard on yourself if you slip. That’s part of it. Hope is the right word for it. Plenty of people have quit for good, and a lot of them started exactly where you are now. It gets easier. Good luck. You’ve got this.

Don’t overthink

I feel as though there is no pressure to “do” something to change myself but can just let change occur. I don’t know how this will go, but I can tell the makers of the app are actually trying to help people help themselves. If you are still reading this then you’re still trying, don’t worry about messing up and just try to be better.

Thank you. That last line is something we hope everyone reading gets to see. No pressure was the whole idea. Change sticks better when it isn’t forced. We’re always building, and we’ve got more coming that’s aimed at making it easier to keep going without it feeling like a chore. If anything’s missing for you, tell us at support@escapethegrip.com we read everything and act on it. Wishing you the best with it. Come back and let us know how it’s going.

Best app for this addiction

It’s not some dumb “pay us 39$” for little protection, the maker of this app genuinely care about its user

Response from developer

This issue matters to us a lot, A LOT. And honestly, most other apps didn’t work for us either, which is exactly why we built this one. Hearing it's actually helping is why we keep building. More features are coming soon that we think you'll like. Your review genuinely made our day. Thank you.

Beyond worth it

I struggled for a good while, but I think the feature of just being able to say “I relapsed” starting again, right there is such a huge thing. It’s not even funny. Their support team is also wonderful, I sent them a block suggestion and they got back to me almost immediately. I thought you were to pay for it and reading other reviews. It says you don’t have to but I paid for it anyways and I don’t regret it because it is worth it.

Response from developer

Thanks for taking the time to write this out. The “I relapsed” restart flow was one of the harder design calls. A lot of blockers punish you for slipping, and that felt wrong to us. Also want to thank you for the block suggestions you sent in. Those have already been implemented and are live for everyone now. Feedback like yours is genuinely how the app gets better. Keep going, we’re rooting for you.

Gift

This app means a lot saves life’s fr!!

Response from developer

Thank you, this made our day :)

Brave and chrome adult sites blocked

Nice. Brave and chrome adult sites blocked

Response from developer

We’re happy to hear that Chrome and Brave browser adult site blocking is helping you along your way. Thanks for your message!

A beautiful app.

This app feels like a warm hug from someone who understands me. I’m not alone. Other people are not alone and there is true hope. This app is a love letter to all those who struggle. Thank you for creating it

Response from developer

We couldn't have said it better. That is exactly the purpose of this app. To be respectful, private, more than a blocker, and give people hope that we all sometimes need. Thank you for this amazing review.

Quick Question For Devs

Can you please make this app compatible with computers as well. Preferably MacBooks. Thank you.

Response from developer

Mac support is on the way and should land soon. If you’ve got more ideas like this, we’d genuinely love to hear them, please drop us a line at support@escapethegrip.com. This is a subject we care a lot about, and reviews like yours help more people find the app when they need it. Thanks for being part of it.

Free and AI powered

The combination of the progress path and AI summary is particularly motivating.

Response from developer

That’s great. Escape uses Apple’s on-device AI which means everything runs locally on your iPhone and we never see your data, progress, summary etc. We are glad that the progress path and AI summary features are motivating.

Freee

Works amazing and is completely free. Honestly surprised me.

Response from developer

Yes, the Safari adult site blocker is always free, and that's what many of our users need. But we also have blockers on all browsers including Chrome, Brave, and recovery courses, practice games, and much more in the paid premium subscription. Thank you for your message and all the best on your journey.

Everyone’s a liar it costs

This app is NOT FREE HAVR to subscribe just to do it

Response from developer

Hi Bløbby, the Safari blocker is completely free and always has been. Most of our users use it every day without paying a thing. The premium side covers our deeper recovery tools - guided courses, breathing exercises, practice games, browser-level blocking across Chrome and other apps, daily check-ins, and progress tracking. Building and maintaining these costs real money (Apple fees, design, development tools), and we're a small independent team trying to build the best recovery tool out there. Everyone on our team has personally dealt with this problem for years. This isn’t a cash grab, it’s a mission. We've helped thousands of people take back control, and we'd love to help you too. The free blocker alone is powerful, give it a try. And if you have any questions, reach out anytime at support@escapethegrip.com

Shocked.

Unlike others, I didn’t need to subscribe, which is beautiful because to better your mental health is something I shouldn’t need to pay for. It works well and has helped me for the better.

Just do it

Think about your wife and kids. They reap the rewards

Quit now

It’s free and not like the other bs

Changed my life

I came across multiple such apps but somehow always felt not to install its. I installed this app just to try on and this changed my life.
