I was travelling to Italy and purchased a 10gb plan before departure. The magic happens when you arrive to your destination, wait for a few minutes and you are with internet. Love it! P.S. Turn off roaming for your local opeartor if you do not want to be charged additionally) I actually was when used esim for the first time.
