Some problems need ironing out

This app is great when it works BUT there have been some quite long-standing problems which are very frustrating and will definitely put new recorders off submitting records.
1. The map function (for choosing location) no longer works. It’s just a grey screen with a red dot
2. The biggest problem is when adding photos. Sometimes when you choose to view your gallery of photos the app just crashes. If it does let you choose a photo then you go back to the recording screen and can no longer see the ‘submit’ button. The only way I’ve found to get around this is to close the app, reopen and then go to submit a record again where, at least, the partly completed record is intact and can now be submitted. Grr!
This is a shame as the app is fab and the info about the ladybirds is really useful.

Impossible to navigate

All seemed to be going well, but on my iPhone XR the app gets randomly stuck on a page and gives no means of moving to another. When I clicked on the link for help it took me to pages which were nothing to do with help and no help at all. Very frustrating

Fine app with minor flaws

Assuming uploads are actually of value to anybody, this is a useful app. If you're ladybird-curious, it serves as a nice log of your own sightings too.
I can't sign in (I have a hyphen in my email addr and special characters in my password, otherwise everything seems innocent enough), but it throws a json error after which the app must be killed.
Would be useful if you could amend a recording with later photos.
The ladybird descriptions could include photos of larval and pupal stages, presumably they're as interesting as the fully developed ladybirds.
Seems to need full precision location, otherwise the app doesn't accept the reported device location. The map never showed for me (just som red circle and lines on a black background).
