Gone more and more downhill

Just keep getting more adds and less security

Very disappointed long term advocate

I have been an Evernote user for over ten years. Today I was told my two-user Teams plan (already a steep £359 a year) is being discontinued, and that if I do nothing before renewal my account will be "automatically moved" to Enterprise Unlimited at £14,800 a year.

A 40-fold jump aimed at a household account, with features I will never use: SCIM provisioning, SSO, a dedicated Customer Success Manager.
What makes it worse is there is no path down. No option to drop to a Personal plan, no proportionate tier for a small user. The only choices on offer are an enterprise contract or the door.
The supposed justification is the recent AI work, which has been underwhelming at best. After a decade of loyalty and steadily rising fees, being handed a £14,800 ultimatum is the clearest possible signal to leave. I am now moving ten years of notes to another system. Avoid unless you want your pricing held hostage at renewal.

Crazy Price Increase

Love the app. Works well, getting easier to navigate all the time, BUT I DO NOT NEED nor WANT the AI function which seems to be the excuse for almost doubling the annual subscription fee. Give me a non-AI version for close to the “old” fee and I’d be very happy with Evernote.

Management is on the wrong track

Your users don’t want daily inane updates and constant pop-up messages about irrelevant stuff that you have changed. Your users don’t want massive price increases when the way they use the software has not changed. Your users don’t appreciate self-congratulatory messages regarding all of the “great” things you’ve done to supposedly improve the application. Just stop. We are tired of being abused by corporations.

Too expensive

I’ve been an Evernote user for 10 years. Sadly I’m transitioning to another app this month before my subscription runs out next month. If the cost was reasonable I would gladly continue, but $249 to renew is over the top.

Love Evernote just wish the fee wasn't so astronomical.

I love the app been using it since 2014 it's been 12 years now writing music in it. However, you guys have gotten dramatically expensive with the monthly payment.

I seen I wrote out a review 10 years ago on here apparently I didn't post it but I was referencing my attitude towards the $7.99 fee. Fast forward today you guys are charging a PREMIUM for more than 2 devices to utilize it for $24.99!! Lol

I get that a Monthly Fee for the app is neccessary but I wish it wasn't such an arm & a leg. Even for Apple Music they have a Family Plan for $20.00 you can play music from 6 devices! iCloud is a lot more friendly with keeping information I may eventually go back to the Notes App.

It was great before they decided to go down the ai route

If you want a better notes app that’s more customizable and DOESNT have ai download Mimi. A couple years ago you couldn’t have convinced me I’d hate this app but now I’m pretty sure I’m their biggest hater.

Don’t value their customers.

I have been a customer for over 10 years. They just doubled the prices and left me with no option but to either pay up or cancel. So I am cancelling. Companies with your value don’t deserve my custom or to survive.

Increased Costs?

SMH!

They keep shoehorning more AI stuff in that no-one asked for whilst not fixing long term bugs

They keep shoehorning more half-baked AI functionality in that no-one asked for, whilst not fixing long term bugs - for instance rendering of offline notes is blocked by a slow/missing connection - which is just the situation you need reliable offline notes in! This bug is at least three years old - no indication of when it’ll be fixed, if ever. The best thing they could do is roll back the app to what it was like around 4 years ago - it’s been downhill since then.

Looking for an alternative - maybe even the basic apple notes.

An excellent note taking application…but

A subscription price of over $150/year, when paid annually, is ENTIRELY TOO HIGH!!
I will no longer be a subscriber when my current subscription expires. That is obscene from what once was a free app

unable to use evernote as advertised after price restructuring

After the outrageous price increases recently, I am now using the plan which allows 1000 notes and 3 synced devices. I cleaned up. I have 796 notes (none in trash cuz that counts too), and exactly 3 devices (phone, tablet and laptop). I primarily use my phone. I just now tried to add a note from evernote on my tablet and I get an error that my limit has been reached, please disconnect a device. I look at the list and I only see the 3 allowed devices.

Perfect

Valuable in both senses of the word

The yearly subscription is high but what Evernote offers is a refined one stop shop with its scratchpad, calendar based notes and document scanning. Handy for quick notes too- the most important part!

Task history

Imagine if you will an app with a name that connotes that it will remember everything. Now imagine completing a repeating task in this app only to have the history of this completion disappear forever!

Trying to access my account

I can’t log into Evernote on my iPhone

Goodbye, Evernote. Hello Craft!

I’ve been a Premium user since 2011 and I had high hopes when Bending Spoons bought Evernote.

They’ve added some great features, however, the app is still clunky. Plus, the price increase has been totally unjustified. It’s the same app. Clunky, slow, overpriced. And the price keeps on increasing. It’s embarrassing.

I’ve moved on to Craft and I suggest that everyone do the same.

Bring back notes remaining open

I’ve used this app for years and until recently I’ve had no complaints. I’ve marked it down 2 stars because the latest updates have removed the apps ability for a note being worked on to remain open and at the position it was left. This is hugely frustrating, having to scroll and scroll to find the right position again. This is a back step. Also, there is no way to contact the developers. As a paid up member, this is unacceptable.

Back button too close to undo

Keep accidentally removing edits because back and undo buttons way too close to each other.

Can’t Live without my Evernote

This notebook app has been so useful to me over the years. Very convenient and easy to use. I use it for so many things. Organizing all of my recipes; home renovation notes, photos, and links; work related notes; audio recordings; video recordings, etc.
