Audio recorder not working in iPhone/iPad

The Audio recorder is not working in iPhone/iPad. This is a perennial issue; the function seems to work for a short while, then stops working. Considering the high subscription rates charged for using this app, one expects value for money.

Used to be great

Evernote used to be great. Once they removed the manual sync everything was messed up when using multiple devices. I stopped subscribing. Now, I can barely use anything on the free service because it will interrupt me multiple times seeing if I am sure that I do not want to subscribe. Such a shame!

Great but expensive

I’ve used and paid for Evernote for over 10 years. However the jumps in subscription prices over the last several years has been too much for personal use.

Great program but way too expensive for personal usage. Especially with alternatives out there that are much cheaper

Scammy pricing changes after over a decade of use

I’ve used Evernote since high school as a central place to store everything from work, life and more. However the app has become completely unusable after capping notes at 1K without shelling out hundreds of dollars. Canceling - There are better alternatives out there

$$

Je trouve l’augmentation de prix trop importante! Je vais migrer vers un autre logiciel après des années d’utilisation

Evernote Made Me Hate Evernote

I used Evernote for 10–12 years and spent about eight of those meaning to find a better alternative.
Disclaimer: I always used the free plan, so yes, I’m complaining about a free service. But Evernote’s longstanding two-device limit never made upgrading feel like a value-add. It felt like ransom for the privilege of accessing my own notes across devices like it isn’t 2012.
I didn’t use it heavily: maybe 150 notes across 10 notebooks—recipes, clothing sizes, part numbers, quotations, and other small things I wanted to keep. I mostly treated it as a notebook that lived on my phone.
Today I opened Evernote to find a recipe and discovered the free tier had become dramatically more restrictive—roughly one notebook and 50 notes. I couldn’t even properly access my existing collection without accepting a seven-day trial that would begin billing about $250 per year.
So I spent the morning screenshotting notes, copying and pasting them elsewhere, and occasionally exporting them in Evernote’s proprietary format. Then I canceled the trial and deleted the app.
I will happily pay for Notion or Obsidian Sync. I will not give money to a company that uses access to my existing notes as leverage.

Congratulations, Evernote: you freed up about 5 MB of storage today. A small part of me hopes that same 5 MB eventually stores your Chapter 11 filing.

STOP ASKING FOR REVIEWS

This is a paid subscription app yet EVERYTIME I try to use it I am asked to leave a review. I am OVER IT!!!!

Evernote everywhere

Handiest app I know of! If I need to remember a thought, Evernote is there

Scam

Next time it easier to ask for subscription at first not wasting peoples time to create account configs for nothing… marketing trap ! Very good continue

Evernote is keeping up with AI

I decided to keep my subscription for at least a year since Bending Spoons is adding many updates.

Not worth the huge price increase

I have been a loyal customer since 2014 but I will not pay what you are charging now, even for the new features. I just exported my entire library of 12 years and have cancelled this service.

No bueno

Was good but not anymore

My APP for important reminders

I use this for online and offline important items

unusable slop

feels like it was coded by ai. integrates terribly with other apps.

So disappointed

Your Last ridiculously priced subscription notification was the straw that broke the camels back. This camel having used you for ever.

Your product manager doesn’t know what they’re doing. Your AI tools are worthless.

There’s no blue Ocean around you. If you were ever the first or the best or different, you are no longer any of those.

Rip off merchants

These guys are sharks in their pricing model. Do not get yourself locked into them

I’ve been a lightweight user of Evernote for years and have built a library over time.

I appreciate that I need to pay in order to support the product I use. But the price increases are atrocious. Totally taking advantage of users.

Im faced with a choice of: pay stupid money for what I get, spend ages migrating off the platform, or lose my knowledge base

Lost its way

I started using Evernote a long time ago when it was free and then it moved to a paid service and I tolerated the constant reminders to upgrade to a paid account but the videos that have started a beyond annoying so I’ve moved my notes to Apple. I understand you need a revenue model but if you start free then please leave those of us who are loyal to our limited version without harassment.

Annoying Ads

Evernote pricing increasing to a ridiculous amount since it was bought out. There have been a lot of pop ups asking to subscribe. But the worst thing is the long video that has started appearing every time I go to open the app. It doesn’t allow you to close out of it before it finishes playing. They are trying to blackmail free users into paying $100 or more a year with the annoying mandatory video.

Downhill since AI

Been an Evernote user for years. Since AI integration the ability to paste large notes has been impacted and the customer service is non-existent.

An Author’s Best Ally

This app, has been such an amazing tool to use once you learn how to properly access all it’s nooks and crannies of abilities! Highly recommend and not sure what I would have done without this!
