Enjoyed 5 nights at the Copthorne ..staff are friendly and very helpful…

Exquisite jewel of a hotel on the banks of Lake Lugano
This is a wonderful, modern but utterly luxurious hotel looking out onto Lake Lugano. It is a little out of the city, but there is a regular courtesy shuttle to and from Lugano so you really get the best of both worlds.
Every aspect of the fit-out of the hotel has been done to the highest standard and the spa facilities are exceptional. The restaurant for dinner is fabulous and the breakfast has a buffet but we (and from what we could see most other guests) relied more on the choices cooked to order. The pool looks out onto the lake and the sunbeds are sumptuous, with huge sunshades for those that need them. We are definitely coming back!

Noisy Great Room
Lovely Hotel near Westlake Mall. Enjoyed Wine bar w quirkie menu. Our room on the 11th floor of the tower backed to the elevator shafts… all night long up & down hard to sleep through it.

Have stayed here many times and it’s in an excellent location and always consistent.
Easy Check-in
The check-in at LaPlacita Inn was very easy. The staff is extra friendly and helped everyone carry their luggage to their rooms. This is our 2nd stay here, we really like this place.
Clean!
Spent the day a nearby Busch Gardens. It was so nice to check into a clean, spacious and comfortable room. Excellent choice of you are staying in the area.

Cancellation Policy
Pitiful, no assistance, blamed it on unwillingness of hotel. I will never go through a 3rd party again. My first experience…..pitiful and disappointing.
Prices change during check out
Prices change during check out, drastically. Customer service will not refund you even when it’s an Expedia error. The price advertised is not always the price you get when they process credit card as it changes every second during checkout out. Not a trust worthy system. Complained the second time and Expedia would not honour the refund regardless of the error said hotel changed rate during checkout even though advertised rate was still the lower rate. So rates posted are not what you always get. Even if you take screenshots by the second as proof evidence Expedia will not honour and fix the errors. Second guessing using the app and Expedia after twice now having been charged different rate then posted.

Almost there…
The remodel was great, its beautiful. Gotta get a way to bring food and bev up to rooms or install PayPer Bev cooler. Also, and this is the bigger problem-your mattress in 414 is awful. We pay to sleep there-its kinda important.

Loved the room, hated the price 488 for one night. But the room was very modern and the pool was great slide was fun. Overall great experience but the price. I thought the attached restaurant would be good but unfortunately not at all. Not sure if it associated with the hotel or not.
