Excited

This has been so helpful so far I can’t wait to see the change in my finances

Response from developer

Thank you, exactly what we hoped to hear! 🙌We did notice the rating came through as 1 star, which doesn't quite match your words. If that was an accidental tap, updating it would really help others find the app. Either way, we're glad it's helping!

Good but not the AI chat

Good to keep track of expenses but the AI chat bot is impossible, repeating itself, not answering the correct questions, telling me how to do something but the instructions not working for what I wanted, it would also be good if my savings could be taken from my monthly budget as well instead of having to set up a savings expenses category as now I have two different sections for my savings. Currently trying to add manual expenses with the AI chat bots instructions and failing, I will continue with the free trial to see how I get on but at this moment I wouldn’t pay for it

Thanks for the detailed note. This is the kind of feedback that shapes what we build next. One thing that may help right away: you can log expenses by hand any time. Go to the Expenses tab, tap the day you want, then tap + in the top right. The chat is a shortcut, not the only way in. Making savings part of the monthly budget without a separate category is on the list, and your note moved it up. We're continuing to sharpen the assistant. Thanks for staying with the trial, and we'll follow up here when these land.

BEST BUDGETING APP

I have tried so many budgeting/financial apps: budget bestie, YNAB, EveryDollar, Rocket Money. This is by far the best one! It’s 4.99/month or you can buy the yearly plan for 34.99. I’m a college student with somewhat simple expenses and this works amazing, but I think it would still work very well for people with more complex financial situations. You have to input your spending but it sends you a reminder to input them and uses AI (in a quite helpful fashion) to help as well. It’s as simple as texting, honestly. You can set your own categories, budget depending on when you get payed whether it be monthly or whatever it may be. It allows you to track recurring expenses and tells you what’s safe to spend. Amazing. 10/10. Budget creator and spending tracker all in one!

Thank you for the kind words, it means a lot. If anything ever feels off or you need something the app doesn't do yet, just reach out. Happy to help!

Easy to navigate, does what it says

I like how simple it is to input my expenses. This is always something I struggled with previously but I like that this just lets you quickly type it out and AI categorises it for you. I would love for it to include a tracker for type of payment method that’s why it’s only 4 stars for me right now. I use various credit cards and debit cards and it would be good to see my expenses in those categories too so I know how much money to put aside when paying off my credit cards etc. other than that it’s a pretty good app and very easy to navigate. Also think the price is fair.

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to write this, it really does help. The payment method tracker is a fair ask and I understand exactly why you want it. Knowing what's sitting on each card so you can set that money aside is a real job, and the app doesn't do it yet. I've written it down properly rather than just filed it away, though I build DaTrack on my own so I won't pretend to have a date for you. One thing that might help in the meantime: some people create a saving fund named after a card and move the money across as they spend on it. Not automatic, but it covers the setting aside part. And thank you for the kind words about typing expenses in. That part took the longest to get right, so it's good to hear it landed.

Ease of Use

Today I tried the app and it was easy and quick to set up

Response from developer

Thank you! Simple setup was the goal, so glad it worked for you. What's missing for the 5th star? Let me know 😉
