Forcing Face ID Is a Security Concern

The app repeatedly pushes users to enable Face ID for unlocking. While I understand the convenience, this should never be forced or aggressively prompted in a security product.

In countries like Brazil, phone theft with coercion is common. Criminals often force victims to reveal their iPhone passcode. Because iOS treats passcode as equivalent to Face ID, linking vault access to device authentication creates a single point of failure. If the phone is unlocked under coercion, all apps tied to Face ID become immediately accessible.

Security apps should prioritize separation of layers:
• Independent master password
• Optional biometrics (never forced)
• A clear “Don’t ask again” option

Repeatedly prompting for Face ID reduces user control and weakens perceived security. Please respect user choice and allow biometric unlock to be permanently declined.
