The app is stable and reliable. Functional and easy to use. Now I can monitoring my shop from my home. And the notification is accurate.
HORRIBLE APP
I recently had a full security system installed and this is the app we need to use to view them and I cannot view Live camera in high-quality, I have no sound, the notifications keep turning off on the app, my motion detection keeps turning off after I turn it on, there’s nothing to playback even though the cameras were triggered and record 24/7, this app is useless and I’m frustrated that I paid over 4k for a security system that I can’t even view on my phone or playback footage or even have sound with. This app needs some serious work ASAP !

The time on the app is always incorrect no matter if you have “ use Device time Zone” on or off!
Not munch effort has gone in to designing this app it’s slow and unresponsive and you can’t playback recorded Vidio from the NVR!

Great when working
This app was working great … then stopped working !! I got in touch with the help department..who sent me through a list of fixes and unfortunately it didn’t work and now they won’t reply to me to help resolve

Everything was ok but since the upgrade or update it has become unusable! Iphone & windows phone affected. No clips after events so constant refresh phone screen to see clips and lagging notifications makes this again the worse app I have ever used. Every time they update they break the app so avoid ezview!

Works well to view UNV NVR cameras
The EZView UNV app works well to connect to and view cameras and video on a UNV NVR system. I’ve been using this app daily for a year without any issues to view multiple camera systems. Like any other camera systems and apps I’ve used, you need a strong phone signal or WiFi signal to view the video, but that’s due to the camera resolution and not a problem with the app. Overall, I am very happy with this app.

Upgrade not progressing
The App asks me EVERY time I enter, to upgrade to the latest cloud version. I have followed the process 5 times so far (connected to network and power), yet still it asks me to upgrade. Please sort this out!
Terrible - the opposite of what you want in “security”
This is easily the worst piece of software I’ve used, not just for a security app, but for any app - it’s all the worse that it’s for my home’s security. My condo board uses this app, and it is beyond useless - down for months, dodgy instructions from the person who set it up, the list goes on. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

EZView App Review
Terrible & the worst due to 1 notification sound that you Cannot change or lower volume. I have to keep an old phone in use due to being woken up abruptly because of the notification sound being very annoying and loud. Volume is on the main settings turning all other sounds down on phone. Android phone you can fix but IPhone you cannot & your left having to turn off EZView notifications or your phone,It Is That Terrible & Un Usable!!

Offline (again)
Negative! It was working ok (ad-hoc buffering issues at times - but now OFFLINE. I’ve deleted and got it back online, only for it go offline 10-mins later. It’s not good enough! Sort this out PLEASE!

I just had Uniview cameras installed at my house. The company that installed them ensured me that I would be able to receive push notifications about motion to my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.7.1. NOPE! I can’t get push notifications on this app or through the UNV link user app either. Nothing works! Such a joke! Avoid Uniview!

Comprehensive Review
Settings (1 star):
Convoluted to say the least. It is very challenging to navigate where to find things. There are settings that I have no idea what they are for because it uses an acronym with no context. Figuring out how to turn the alarm
Notifications on took over a month and now I’m getting way too many.
Intuitive (1 star):
Navigating the app is clunky, too many drop-downs, sub levels &c. No baseboard view.
Functions (2 stars):
The only reason this isn’t one star is because I like that when an alarm is triggered it takes a snapshot of whatever is moving, e,g. Takes a close-up picture of a car/person.
Notifications (1 star):
You cannot select multiple notifications to delete, you have to do each one manually which takes forever. You cannot save or flag individual notifications either; and if you can and I didn’t realise that, that is still a problem with the usability of the app as it should be simple to figure out.
Aesthetics (1 star):
Apps are primarily about functionality but I do enjoy a visually pleasing/organised app. Helps give the initial impression that it is easy to use.
Final comment:
This comment is probably the most important piece of feedback for the developer. If you have to write a FAQ section on how to use your app then you have failed. An app should be so easy to use that you don’t need one. It’s almost like unconsciously admitting to yourselves that you know the app is too convoluted. If you’re developing a section of the app and you think to yourself, ‘maybe I should write some instructions on how to use this feature’ then that’s your early warning sign that you need to rethink what your making. PS nobody reads FAQ anyway so that was also a waste of time.

Poor app
Cannot view past video and keeps jumping back to current time
Works well
I’ve been using this app for a year to remotely connect to a UNV NVR that’s hard wired to a gigabit router and has 8 4k cameras. I use it to view the cameras live streaming and remote video playback. It works well. The phone signal strength and the resolution of the cameras or video will determine if the video is good quality or slow to connect. Overall, the app works well and does what it’s supposed to do.

Unable to view
Frustrating. Worked ok for the first few months but in the last 3 months regularly fails to connect to the system.
Issue with latest update
The recent update introduced a bug where the password under “my devices” gets changed by itself and cameras go offline. And even when I input the correct password and save it, the cameras will be on temporarily but then the password will get changed again.
And another issue is when I log out and log back in, it doesn’t save my camera placement configuration in Live View.
