As of May 2026; The 86th store is only user friendly if provoked. No smiley faces. Sad sacks. Many of the handlers especially in the vegetable section speak little or no english. Mis-market or scrambled price tags abound. Such as fruit piled so you can’t read the tags (or can’t find them). Items disappear without notice or explanation (such as fresh orange juice). Jerome a store wandering helper is a gem! Otherwise this place needs a top to bottom reorganization!

Fairway only shop where to shop!
I’m a customer for as long as Fairway exists even though I live on 93 Street & WEA! I love everything from ready made foods, cheese selections, produce, & everything else! Honestly!
And, then: I love people who work there too, like, I adore Jacob & Kendrick as well. So, it feels like going to my family and thank you all for everything!

Easy to save!
Great values just get better!
Does not permit 90 degree turn
The website does not permit turning 90 degrees so that it can be better seen when in a horizontal position.
Fairway
Poor customer service. Quality of prepared food has plummeted. It’s seriously gone downhill to the point where I rarely even go in. A shadow of its former self. Sad.
App interface
This web interface is very confusing.

It’s not showing the points I’m earning when I make purchases.
Riddled with bugs
This app is riddled with bugs and reproducibly fails when attempting to perform it’s most basic and important tasks. For example, the app persistently fails to add a barcoded card to Apple Wallet, showing users a completely unhelpful message reading “ Sorry, there was a problem when trying to create the wallet pass. Try again later.” This is just one example of the app’s poor user experience.

Website not user friendly
Tried clicked on shop online from shopping list and nothing happened. Have tried every thing and still can’t figure this site out. From weekly specials to insider pricing. I’ve given up
Excellence that cannot be improved upon!
The weekly circular is an excellent source of information and an excellent guide as well. At a time when the economy is both unpredictable and unstable it is good to know that Fairway maintains prices at the “affordable” end without sacrificing choice.

Useless
Every time I try to create an account it says it's sending a verification email but it nevers comes. If you don't have an email and password to log in you can't use any of the features like digital coupons.

Prices significantly increased, above general inflation bump. Website unusable. When Fairway announced move to 86th Street excitement was high, shopped here happily until bought by Shoprite (better prices and service at suburban stores), prices slowly and steadily increased. A reasonable business model perhaps, but I’m not so time pressed, financially sloppy and lacking in options as to make anything but small purchases here when convenience dictates.

Digital Coupons Don’t Work
Don’t bother downloading this app. The digital coupons won’t even load onto your account.
Can’t stay logged in
The check box to save login won’t check, so you have to relogin every time you open the app.
Diminished service and product lines
Ever since Fairway was bought, I have noticed that the scope of product choices has been diminished. The cheese selection is smaller, the meat selection is more limited and the deli shelves look like they have been cut in half.
It would be nice to see some of the food choices return and the service to be more available. This was my neighborhood store for over 20 years. I may be forced to go to other places like Zabars for cheese, Citarellas for meat and Whole Foods for other products. We now have other neighborhood options. Fairway should reconsider its plans going forward.

Horrific App
Horrible app; Constant glitches, freezes and inability to load digital coupons. Not worth downloading the app until major updates and improvements are made.
