The best journaling app out there!
I love how convenient this app is to put anything I want pictures, thoughts, texts, stories, moments, memories, impressions — all so quickly, and easily all in one place so that my future posterity can have them

With all of the terrible wild fires in the West this year… I have peace of mind … knowing that most of my precious family photos, certificates, letters, are safely copied and stored in Memories at the FamilySearch website!

EXACTLY what I was looking for!
For many, many years, I fretted over the idea that all of the fun things we had done as children would not be told to future generations. Sure, they would know our names and would know us as adults, but they would never know who we were during those form of the years. Our family used to sit around and talk about these stories as a means of entertainment when the lights were out during storms, and I wanted our family to always be able to see them as well. I’ve been trying to gather the information to turn the stories into a book for about 25 years before my father introduced me to Family Search Memories. I couldn’t believe it! This was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Now the entire family can look at these memories whenever they please.

Family Search Memories is a great way to record experiences of my life for the benefit of my posterity
I delayed writing my history until I turned 83.
So far, this is quite easy and I would recommend it to anybody to begin to write their history before they kicked the bucket.
On the Go
I love that I can use this app wherever I am. We visited my mother-in-law in her assisted living center and were able to record some very special memories.
Recommend
I really enjoy this app, but I wish the app would identify the profile that the memories are attached too. It would be a nice way to verify that they are correctly attached.

No way to move from the memory to the person. loses attached memories for months with no resolution
Some people’s memories disappear and never come back. The IT department is ignoring the issue.
The memory does not link back to the person, and the ID number associated with the memory is not tagged in anyway. So it’s just memories floating around randomly.

Content Sync Issues
There are major sync issues with this app and it’s very inconsistent from the website functionality. There’s also a file upload limitation that I didn’t know existed until I was on the website troubleshooting the syncing issues.

FamilySearch is user friendly, helps you find relatives and complete their temple work.
It needs to be easier to use with the iPhone format
I have to do way too much work to get a photo on onto my individual ancestors account on the iPhone. Seriously the only reason I got it was because the website is not formatted to use iPhone. So it’s frustrating that I can’t upload and tag and it goes automatically onto those ancestors memories I have to go in individually and hope the website works.
