Completely Useless.
Don’t waste your money. Have tried to use it three times. Once it said it was recording but at the end said error nothing recorded. Twice out of two times it has failed to be able to transcribe anything.
Doesn’t work
Recorded a mtg. Asked it to transcribe but it didn’t work — got an error.
Then deleted the app and tried to re-add (for troubleshooting purposes), but it’s requiring me to pay for another subscription when I already have one!
I want a refund!

Does not work!
Nothing works with this app at all. Very frustrating after paying $40.

I copied Fathom AI and they advised me they don’t have an app and this is a scam.
Promise a limited free version but there’s no option for that
The desktop app is great. This versio. Doesn’t allow you to use the limited version it promises you have to pay to use the app
Doesn’t work, deleted my work
I work as a reporter and this deleted over an hour of work for me- stuff I can never retrieve. Other stuff from transcripts just don’t work.
It also started with what looked like a paywall block. Just use the free version of Otter.ai and save yourself the headache.

Terrible - does not work
Terrible app. Would not transcribe any meetings, could not log in via computer for online meetings. Overall, it is useless. And the refund was denied….

Failing after purchasing
The trial worked fine but after buying subscription to get all the bells and whistles, it has failed multiple time at recording and at transcribing. I have sent multiple messages to support with no answer.

Don’t waste your money!! It is not connected to Fathom AI that you would use for recording meetings. They are posing. This app is garbage and a total scam. I signed up for the free trial and automatically charged me one month then I saw that the “for life” subscriptions were a great deal so I paid for the Life Time subscription. I cannot log into it or use it. Can’t get a hold of anyone for feedback and help.

Video playback terrible
The video playback and scrubbing tool is awful. It’s is impossible to navigate to a part of the video you’re interested in. Buggy on mobile and desktop.

I purchased a premium lifetime subscription because I expected Fathom to be reliable for transcription and note-taking. Unfortunately, the app has become very unreliable.
Transcriptions are not consistently processing, notes are disappearing, and in some cases entire transcriptions seem to vanish. For an app built around capturing important conversations, meetings, and records, that is a major problem.
A premium lifetime customer should not have to worry that important notes or transcripts may disappear after relying on the app. This needs urgent attention from the support and engineering team.
Until these issues are fixed, I cannot confidently recommend Fathom for serious work.

Doesn’t work
Purchased the premium version, ran 3 meetings which were recorded but the summary and transcript doesn’t work. I simply get a message that something isn’t working and get invited to try again; which also doesn’t work

On multiple occasions, the app has cancelled recordings without any warning or notification, resulting in lost content and wasted time. Even more frustrating, recordings that did complete often failed to transcribe properly.
For an app that relies on recording and transcription, reliability is essential. Losing recordings without notice makes it difficult to trust the app for anything important.
I hope the developers address these issues, but based on my experience, the app is currently too unreliable to recommend.
