Recording with Ext Mic Disabled?
Looks like recording with Ext Mic has been disabled in one of the updates. Hope this is not a ploy to force us to upgrade even after paying for the original version which supported this feature. In particular, the record button doesn’t work when the Ext Mic is plugged in even though it is capturing sound, once disconnected the record button immediately works.

Filmic Legacy audio
I purchased your Filmic App when it 1st launched with no problems. With the takeover you changed to a subscription model. Since this the Filmic Legacy App has sadly gone downhill. The audio 22.4.2026 is not recording along side the video. The new owners should have honoured their previous Filmic users in good faith. Please could you update the Filmic Legacy App that we paid for.

Even with update, NO AUDIO!
So even with the update, you expect that the audio works? It does except it doesn’t record the audio, even though it does appear to be.
Why would you do this to legacy users? You’ve just updated the app two weeks ago and now you don’t seem to care about fixing it again even with those issues.

Recent April 26 update broken
I'm aware this is not supposed to be supported, but surely we should not be sabotaged by maintenance updates! Just reviewed footage from last Tuesday and no audio is recorded, it's useless. Yet testing just now shows level meters working fine, audio definitely enabled, no Bluetooth. Recorded video shows MOS instead of WAV. Unrepeatable content lost, I am gutted. Reddit thread shows I am not alone either.

I’ve never seen an app owner get so greedy so quickly!!
First they tried to make users SUBSCRIBE in order to save ANY video to the camera roll…but end users cried FOUL.
So they released LEGACY, said they would no longer support it, but then released “UPDATES” that actually killed core functionality to force people onto their V7 SUBSCRIPTION PLATFORM.
Sad. Really sad.

Bait and switch scam . New subscription plan after duping everyone to buy this app. Thankfully there are better alternatives that don't require a subscription.
AUDIO IS BROKEN!!!
The audio doesn’t record in recent update!!! It’s useless now!! Fix it!!!
AUDIO DOES NOT WORK ON 26.4
Just updating to the latest iOS update to 26.4 and it completely killed the audio. The loudest it can go is -65dB. Which is silent. It doesn’t work, it’s useless unless they fix it.

I have this app for a while had no time to use it. Now I got back to use it is amazing. I am a Nikon Z person but I get better results with this. It’s get very confusing and annoying it try to keep sending to to buy film pro very messy upselling I see no difference it more creative billing subscription

Shower, I noticed the 6 version still has a minor issue with smooth automatic zooming in/out while recording. But it is better. Maybe you can try to smooth it some more on another update. Great products guys!!

They betrayed us
I used to love Filmic Pro, especially when it was a one-time purchase. It was a fantastic tool for filmmakers, but their switch to a subscription model is a real letdown. Instead of paying once and owning the app, now you have to pay monthly or yearly, which just doesn’t feel worth it. Many professionals are moving over to Cinema P3, which offers a one-time purchase for about $8 and delivers a really professional experience without the ongoing cost. Overall, pretty disappointing move from Filmic Pro.

buggy, slow downgraded from what we paid full price for
SCAM company alert. Do not trust these thieves for you will pay full price for a very expensive app and then they will steal your money and change the pricing model so you have to down load a downgraded messy awful app or pay again and again week after week for their stupid subscription. What an awful company.

Let’s get one thing straight: pricing isn’t a review topic. If you can operate a smartphone, you can read a price tag. Reviews are for what an app does, not for venting about the fact that life costs money. And yes, if a new version comes out and they ask for payment again—guess what? That’s normal. As long as the version you already own still gets fixes (which it does), there’s zero foul.
So, please—for the love of common sense and digital dignity—stop whining. The world is bursting at the seams with entitled crybabies. Enough already. Filmic is still a fantastic app, even as a legacy version. Use it. Enjoy it. Or move along.
