Only marginally more convenient than just googling

Doesn’t support adding or following studios, can’t easily find a director in movie search, is barely native ui look and feel, extremely thin metadata shown on movie search and view, and on top of all that claims to be worth money and randomly blocks certain actors or directors on the free version for some reason.

Developer clearly doesn’t understand that the pro tier of an app this scale should not gate core features, if you do not have enough in your pro tier to warrant an upgrade without gutting the core, then make it a paid app entirely or add more features for pro users.

Fantasic

A great idea, allowing you to track what you want to watch as well as what you have seen and when

Prefer the older version

Older version of this app was much better and 5*. Now it’s barely a 2*.
I’d like to be able to open the app and the movies I’ve watched are right there on my screen, ready for me to add more. A simple app to log the films I have watched as the name suggests. In the past that’s how it was. The option to change something as simple as that is now behind a paywall. Greed at its finest on show right there. Very disappointed.

One time purchase option is nice

Been using filmlog for a minute now, and I did get a bit worried when I thought I needed to use a subscription for the features again, but all I had to do was hit restore purchase. Apologies for the confusion, keep up the good work!

Monetization issues

I’ve been using Filmlog since almost late 2021, so it made me really sad to see that when I went to log a movie today, that all the features I’d been using for the past 3 years suddenly got put behind a paywall. Monetizing previously existing features rather than adding any new ones is a really lame business practice, because it just punishes anyone that was used to how things was by making them need to pay for a subscription service (really?) to have those same features. Really disappointed, especially since i used to recommend this to friends :(

Slick and great

Lots of utility, without having to purchase a subscription, and even more with it. Love it!

Just what I was looking for!

A brilliant app that allows me to simply, and cleanly, log and review all my watched films. It also lets me watch my favourite actors and will show me their upcoming projects that I might be interested in!

Definitely recommend to all film lovers :)

Neat and brilliant

Perfect app for organising movies, really useful

Lacking important from Trakt

Most tracking apps today are based on Trakt. This app is independent however in order to migrate I would have to enter hundreds of movies and tv shows manually which is absurd. Not useful for me. Deleted.

Clean & Simple - wish I could tag though

I’m loving the simplicity of this app. It’s exactly what I’m looking for — a way to journal my thoughts about a movie in a space that is not a social networking app.

One feature I wish was available is the ability to tag/label for easier sorting/filtering of my list. I’m noticing as my saved films list gets bigger, it’s becoming unruly to sift through. I would love to be able to tag my films with keywords of my choosing for specific searching later on. E.g. I can’t just search my saved films for “horror.” I have to scroll through all my saved films (thats ordered by date saved) and hope I run into a horror movie.

Excellent!!!

This makes keeping track if the movies I watch very easy. Easy to use!

A lot to like but not quite there yet

First disappointment was no iPad version and even worse no sharing of watched/too watch lists between devices.

The app itself is easy to use but just needs a little bit more functionality to rate films, a simple star rating or even a like/dislike, certainly more that the simple heart like or nothing.

I’ll keep a watch out and hope for some upgrades….

Awesome app

I love this app. Simple to use, looks great and a very nice visual record of the movies I have watched (plus a wish list of movies yet to watch). I love it

Almost Great

This app is almost great but a few glitches get in the way.

As the first glitch, the app crashes a lot...usually when searching.

The second glitch is hard to catch. For some reason if you try to edit a log that is already saved the app often saves the date as one day later than the date you set it at. For example if you save a movie to your watch list for January 1st, 2019 then go back to edit the date to, say, January 3rd 2019 it will save as January 4th. Sometimes this can be corrected by editing it again, sometimes it takes several tries. After finding this glitch I don’t have any confidence in the saved data.

The third glitch happens when searching. If you’ve already saved a movie to your list you can search and bring up that saved log. That’s great if you want to search if you’ve already watched a particular movie. But, if the movie title has an apostrophe, for instance “We’re the Millers”, the search function doesn’t recognize the movie is already in your list.

If the developer can reduce the crashes and fix this date glitch I would definitely recommend this app.

Request! Wish to record same film on different day.

I am seeing same film over and over.

At moment only 1 film just once, even on another day.

Can you please improve it ASAP?!

Response from developer

Hi Yosindi, when adding a movie you can select the date at the bottom of the screen. For further assistance please get in touch at support@agiligator.cc – I do not understand your issue completely, so please make sure to attach some screenshots, thank you! Simon

Fantastic app

Great app

Exactly what I was looking for

Love this app! Always wanted to keep a “film diary” to remind me of what I watched and whether I liked it or not, so I can avoid certain actors/directors... or seek out more films by them. Perfect.

Love Filmlog ❤️

I’ve been using Filmlog for nearly five years and it’s a great reference, plus if anyone asks for any recommendations it comes in very handy. Love it!

Good app

Good and easy to
Use- like leaving comments and ratings

Great app

I love this app for keeping track of the films I’ve watched. So easy to use and it’s nice to look back over the year.
