Awesome!
The Filtrete Smart App makes it so much easier to keep track of the life of your furnace filter. I love the fact that it also shows me where I can purchase my next one. I love the tips on how to get the air in your home clean. This helps out a lot because my wife has major allergies.
Location wrong / temperature wrong
I am a longtime Filtrete filter user so the smart filters were a big plus. The app was working well until last month with the exception that it reads my location as the next town over (yes, my location is set at “precise”). The outside temp and humidity are stuck on readings way too low so I deleted and reinstalled, but no change. Although the app is on the Apple App Store, it seems Filtrete leans more towards Google and Alexa system support, no Home Kit compatibility. I’m wondering whether they are phasing out Apple app support now….

One Filter at a Time!?
It only allows me to select one filter at a time that I’m changing. My house has two filters, and my previous house has three.
Review for air filters
Helps keep up with how long it is how bad the weather is how dusty it is or anything like that that affects your air-conditioning and AC unit it’s amazing. It’s wonderful. It’s one of the best apps I’ve had.
Tracking & Marketing Scam
This app doesn’t accomplish anything a simple calendar entry can do, and yet the EULA is chock full of provisions in which you give away your rights as a consumer, while you agree to all sorts of intrusive tracking and communication. This EULA seems more suited to a social media app than a simple replacement tracker. Hard no after reviewing the EULA. This app deserves zero stars.

Doesn’t work
Thank goodness this app was free cause if I had to pay for it I would be more upset with the app than I am now. I cannot get past the sign in/sign up page of the app. I’ve tried multiple different ways to sign in/sign up for the app and they have all failed. Do not waste your time.
Good app
Only issue is it stopped displaying air quality alerts and a few other things. Not sure why. So 1 star off for that. I always check the air quality.

3M Filtrite Smart Filter
Great product with greatly increased performance over cheap card board Egg crate filters complete with a wonderful app to monitor filter change timing.
Waste of an app and excessive ewaste
1) The “sensor” they attached to the filter is just a dumb countdown timer, interferes with the tight clearances in the filter holder, and is just more toxic ewaste.
2) There is no reason to give Filtrete access to my private data when a simple reminder set in my phone does the same thing.
The app claims to actually measure filter use and airflow. I removed one of the sensors and put it in a plastic bag where there is no airflow and no filter usage to measure. It is still recording filter use. So far it’s recorded 6% use in 4 days. At this rate it will have me replacing the filter in a little over 2 months.

Buggy or no longer working with barcode scans?
I noticed on the back of the packaging that you could start a 90 day replacement reminder using their app. After downloading it went to scan this filter’s packaging barcode, as instructed, and gave an error message saying “Try again” over and over. I’ll just keep setting a reminder in my phone to swap them out.

Well built and does a fantastic job.
Good app but still needs work
We’re almost a year into iOS 26 and Liquid Glass but the Filtrete Widget still fails to display anything when Liquid Glass is enabled on the Home Screen. Would be nice to have the widget work with a feature of the OS. There were several apps that had issues early on but every one of those apps have fixed this issue and most of them months ago. Please address this before iOS 27 is released!

I cannot get past a system error on the app when trying to set up a new filter. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it with no success in getting it to work properly.
