Great way to remember family
Have used Find A Grave for years. It’s a great way to record family and friends we’ve lost but won’t be forgotten.

IRISH BLESSING ?????
I created a memorial for my recently departed Father, pictures, dates & location that only I would know & have. After I recently logged back in, I see a complete stranger named Irish Blessing took over as CREATOR. It is truly mind boggling how a complete stranger can take over a loved one’s memorial & then has the nerve to have their incoming messages disabled, how convenient! After numerous back & forth with Find A Grave the issue has been resolved, however this should not have been even remotely possible for a random stranger to take over. No surprise his profile shows he has done it to over 9,000 other memorials. Extremely distasteful.

Great app
Very helpful. A recent update changed the sort which makes it less useful. I hope they fix it soon.
Don’t care about privacy
I’m not happy with what I had to go through with trespassers bc of this app but it seems like they are trying to help me make it right so I’m thankful for that.
Never works right
I have entered so many tombstone information. Yet it only shows 9. My latest one I entered was 6/27/26, entered it 3x and it still isn’t showing up. I am going to stop using this platform. It’s no good. I don’t even want to rate it a 1…more like 1/4 of that. Through out the years it has never worked right. So frustrating.

Find A Grave
I created a memorial for my recently departed Father, pictures, dates & location that only I would know & have. After I recently logged back in, I see a complete stranger named Irish Blessing took over as CREATOR of my Father’s memorial. This person does not receive messages so I cannot even tell them to get off my father’s page. I have reached out to Find A Grave about this situation & they have yet to bring a resolution by removing the memorial entirely as they promised. Extremely disappointing a random stranger with no life can take over your families memorial. Will be reporting to BBB.

Latest update a step back
The latest update changes the UI to a prettier, colorful, tile/icon look, but it’s a step backward in usability. (Perhaps they don’t do usability testing at Find A Grave.) My most frequent use case is to look up what current claims I have, and the new interface requires an additional click to do that. Why add an extra menu layer in the name of “prettiness”?

Don’t care about privacy
They encourage people to trespass onto your property at any means necessary and take photos of family graves and upload them to their app so others can trespass, disrespect privacy, and make your family members feel unsafe not knowing who is trying to sneak onto your property!!! disgusting!!

Not a fan of the latest update
I love the app and what it allows me to do, however, I much prefer the previous layout of the app before this latest update. But it’s their app and they can do whatever they want with it.😐
Love the map upgrade
I was at the cemetery yesterday, taking photos and used the map feature. I went back today and opened up the app and it was completely upgraded and improved. The map accuracy in particular.
Yesterday it brought me within a 10 feet of the monument. Today when I tested it, it took me right to the one I was trying to get back to.

I love this app!
It’s great linking family, going back in history. This is addictive. Anyone who likes digging into their ancestral roots will love this.
Login doesn’t work
I love Find a Grave, but the app does not work. I tried to log in with Ancestry, but it just opens my browser, downloads an “ancestry.txt” file, and does nothing else. I can log in totally fine on the website. Bummer!
Messages in the App
Why can’t I find messages in the App? I received an alert that someone sent me a message, but nowhere in the app can I find the message!
Privacy
Findagrave is a nice hobby and I use it. It is connected to Ancestry.com. The people who manage the memorials are not necessarily family. They may put up obituaries, in the Bio, and leave the living members names and cities in the obituary. That breaks a rule but findagrave does nothing to correct it. When I edited some memorials by simply taking that out, and this is for my home parish cemetery, the managers, in the dozen or less I did, invariably refused. The response from one was that “there were no additions noted.” I did not do anything to counter that response. If they refuse to add the plot location, it was one person, then I responded and was told she did not know how it happened! And people will transfer to family. It is an interesting way to find out more about for instance one’s parents’ buddies during the war, or classmates who died as you can have a virtual cemetery. Looking through a graveyard in findagrave you will see family photos and learn about and remember people who you knew. As our Priest said at my dad’s funeral, they had full lives. If you can add dates, and bios, or memorials, requesting photos you will find a hobby that is helpful to others and free to do still. Mark your veterans with a “V.”

This app was great until I did the last update. Now every time I do a search I get a 'server error'. Wish I had stayed with the old version... :(
Flowers 💐 & Greetings not working
I was able to send the flower greetings up until a few days ago. It’s no longer working on my iPhone 7.
I can get to the persons grave page, but now I can’t leave well wishes or even see the well wishes from others anymore. That’s sad because I never had a problem using this app or bookmark for that matter up until a few days ago. And I have been with Find A Grave for over a decade. It Saddens me that I can no longer reply when I am not near my tablet now. Sometimes when I’m out and about I see famous people pictures or something reminds me of my lost family members & I like to show them I still care about & miss those people dearly. I like to leave messages on their pages so I can see the messages again at another date in time. Sorta like looking back with them. Maybe it’s just a glitch & it returns on my phone down the line?
