Dead on- except spikes
Holds temp dead on when it settles, but still be prepared to manage spikes on a Kamado. Set on 275 right now and we are 305 and climbing..

Missing one Thing to be 5/5
I would give this app a 5/5 but it is missing one feature I think all would love to have and that is an alarm system for when you food reaches its desired temp. If they could integrate that then it would be a flawless app.

Finally a GREAT APP that works
So great that I can go anywhere and the two probe system keeps me in the know! Plus I can keep notes on all my cooks which are individually categorized by date and meat I cooked. Love FireBoard

Why So HIGH?
The app is great. I love the ability to create and run my own programs.

Today (and other days) the software allows the fire to climb over 100 degrees beyond the set point after holding it at the set point for 2 hours. Why O Why?

Really wish I had time to reverse engineer this and write my own system. So tired of this app:
1. Always forgetting the alerts I have configured for my channels. EXTREMELY UNHELPFUL!
2. Not being able to record 24+ hour cooks in a single graph. Fix your stupid ring buffer.
3. The very difficult to follow UI. Accidentally clicked in to the full graph view? Too bad, you can’t set an alert from there. You have to guess that clicking just the number on the main page will let you do that.

Love smoking with this App. Very responsive, great graphic trend data allowing better pinpoint timing of critical cook milestones. Save data for future cooks.
Seemed good, until…
I liked this app, and it worked well with my Yoder, right up to the point that my Yoder reported that it had lost communication, at which point it ceased to cook and started cooling down. Having to constantly check that the system is connected and working is no better than having to check temperatures! Oh well, looks like takeaway food tonight!

Used to be great, now it won’t show the temp in real time after app updates. Please fix this!!

I don’t normally write a whole bunch of reviews even though I should. However, as a whole ecosystem, FireBoard really has outdone themselves.
I purchased a LoneStarGrillz pellet smoker and got it in April of 2024. Since then I got three pulse probes and a spark to add to the armada of temperature control. I honestly don’t what I would do without an app to watch, control, and predict my cooking. To note, I have a young son and another one on the way so my time is stretched way thing.
It’s changed my process. The app works. It just works and at the end of the day that’s all I want is for my tech and my tools to work.
