The safest option I’ve found
I’ve reviewed and/or tried at least 8 note-taking apps for my company. This is the one I’ve chosen to use, primarily because it’s the only team-enabled system I’ve found with full commitment to company data privacy. There are lots of things I dislike about this app, primarily how difficult it is to access and share a meeting transcript with my team (both human and ai). I also have found it difficult to control which meetings it adds itself to - it shows up for meetings I don’t want it in, and doesn’t show up when I do. I hope to figure this out, probably will, but their onboarding flow regarding this crucial privacy-related matter leaves much to be desired. Yet I continue to use this since I have not found better options.
I would actually rate it at three stars, in terms of usability, but it’s the one I’ve chosen out of all competitors so… it gets a 4.

Don’t buy the hype.. poor functions
Export transcript from app not available and editing is very limited. Other competitors have this as a basic function. I wasted money … purchasing the annual before I realized the limitations and non-refundable.
Note summary not working
Why is my note summary not working? It has not worked ever since I updated the app.

Super Impressed with this App and the desktop and online versions too.
Constantly stops recording on its own
Idea is good but functionality is awful. I can’t tell you how many times my recording stopped on its own and ruined my recordings of important meetings.
Confusing and unreliable
Interface is confusing. Personal details shared with team members without my knowledge. Meeting transcripts highly unreliable; if your work team relies on fireflies it will introduce all sorts of unexpected problems. Use Gemini notes instead, that’s where we are headed.
No Tutorial
I wish there was a good tutorial that came with the subscription, it’s really a shot in the dark knowing if it’s working correctly or not. Would also like to have video of both people in the zoom call, unfortunately it’s only the person that’s doing the talking is being videoed.
Quality Output + Easy to Connect
Fireflies output is excellent, and it’s incredibly easy to connect to platforms such as Claude. Highly recommend it if you want agents to do more with your content.
Not worth it
Ai can only respond questions about one meeting at a time. You can’t copy transcripts easily.

This has been quite disappointing, Fireflies forces you to share your Microsoft or Gmail data by signing in through them and not your own personal email account. It also forces you to share certain information about yourself through Microsoft or Gmail depending on which account you to link to. And now we're noticing we constantly have to login, which really sucks:(

Excellent, but…
The app itself is fantastic. I has great learning, it’s incredibly easy to use. The notes are pretty accurate, even with a preponderance of scientific and medical jargon. Honestly, my ONLY complaint with the app itself is that you are unable to edit conversations and notes. For that, you need to be on the online version on your computer. Add that feature to the iPad and phone, and it’s 5 stars all the way!

FAST and reliable!
Hands down the best purchase I’ve ever made. My memory isn’t perfect so this has been so useful for my personal and professional life. And I LOVE that you get your recordings immediately, compared to Gong which takes 2-4 business months 😂. JK but if does take at least an hour, sometimes 4, which kills any follow up meetings. The integrations are rock solid and helps with my tech stack in my business.

Auto join consistently doesn’t work
Very annoying when you rely on the app to record meetings you are unable to attend but the app doesn’t perform

I love the accuracy of Fireflies AI summaries and the way it sets out action points for follow up.
