The worst experience
Response from developer
We’re sorry that our current provider availability hasn't aligned with your work schedule. We are constantly working to expand our network and hours to meet our members needs. Please contact our support team via chat in the Firefly App so we can better assist you. While we do not have availability on weekends just yet, we would be happy to help you see a provider this week.
The worst insurance ever hands down (and we had tricare)
They don’t answer questions in a timely manner and it seems like nobody has any idea what’s going on, like everybody is constantly picking up a conversation from somebody prior so the rules keep changing. I have full fledge had it with this company. I didn’t think it could get worse than what we dealt with with tricare but at least the lack of bills were worth it then. This service is AWFUL go with literally any other insurance.
3 month wait time
Unreliable
No point in this service
Impressed to say the least
The best!
Never been helpful when sick

Best healthcare I’ve ever experienced
Notification stopped working?
An Apple Watch app would be awesome.
I fail to see the point
I can go to several clinics—right now— and see a NP.
So, what’s the point of this?
Horrible Service
Horrible App and Conpany
Do NOT CHOOSE FIREFLY
Amazing care wonderful, compassionate team
Not actually 24/7 coverage
Went downstairs with my broken body aching to get my insurance ID card to upload to the app, and then tried to get in touch via chat through the app because I have COVID and it said their offices were closed. For emergencies, it directed me to 911.
Deleted account. Moving on.
Objectively awful
Amazing
Efficacy of healthcare inhibited by lab outsourcing and linear approach to healthcare
Prospective patients should be aware that their virtual model means they outsource any labs. I found quest diagnostics to be ok for blood work but they messed up other labs and were inconvenient in terms of location for me and have no phone number to call if you have questions.
I found it difficult to get timely appointments with my primary care doctor.
The lack of physical location meant that testing that couldn’t be done by Quest required referrals to specialists that add time and complexity.
I had an ongoing health issue that was tackled in a linear fashion that added weeks to the process because we tried one thing after another instead of testing for multiple issues right away.
I ended up switching practices and my nee doctor ordered a SIBO test to be overnighted to my house instead of having me wait weeks to see a GI specialist and I am finally on the road to recovery after a positive test result came back.
I expect that Firefly will continue to evolve their services to better utilize at home testing options and have faster referrals and a network of specialists since they closed their watertown location and went fully virtual, but I encourage patients to think about whether a virtual practice that outsources everything is the best fit for them.
They are great people working to advance the way we use technology for medical care but there are some things that would be much more easily addressed in person.
