Cannot receive notifications

The app has been nothing but buggy for me. Primarily the issue is not receiving notifications, despite phone and app settings being properly adjusted. I must refresh the incident list to see dispatched calls. Please fix this, it’s a big hassle. These are 911 situations.

Crashing

The app is constantly crashing as soon as I open it.

Latest update is awful

Not sure what happened with the latest update, but it’s terrible. Assigned units are not accurate, constantly have to refresh. Complete opposite of “Improved incident list and app stability”. I wish I could take the update back 👎🏽 Come on First Due. Fix it.

UI

The user interface is one of the worst on the market. Reviews are mid cause Admin votes it up but line guys vote it down. Packaged prettily to entice Admin to buy, but terrible for the end-user. Bring back ESO and TargetSolutions. 2 stars cause "eVerYThInG iS INteGrAtEd"

I like the functionality up to a point. You need to read and take to heart the recommendations to add a dark mode. I heard you say it’s difficult, but you didn’t say impossible. Start with one platform and move on.
I’d love for notifications to be modifiable in the app so that I don’t have to listen to all my devices trying to tell me there’s a call. I want my work phone to be able to tell me everything but my personal phone and tablet to only show me the fun stuff like fires and boat calls. I don’t want to have multiple aliases so I can control each device on my account.
And work with first due to add some useful information to the incidents. We need times to be available. We don’t all have Command and have easy access to vehicle times and statuses. It’s not practical to have each unit choose their status when dispatch does it as part of their job. Our CAD sucks pretty hard but there has to be an easy way to direct that data you/they already consume.

You push out enough updates so you’re working on improvements. Here are a couple helpful hints. Don’t be too surprised if you see this in the Suggestions section on the support site.

Thanks

TERRIBLE

If I could give this zero stars I would!

Slow to update

If you rely on this for CAD notes and updates, there is a delay. Also don’t like that it sounds tones again when I open the app

Solid

Pretty good overall, but can we please get customizable alerts, sounds and vibrations. This is useful overnight but not when I can’t change the settings to work in different environments.

Overpromised and under delivered

App is terrible. Glitchy and laggy all around. Makes filling out both regular fire runs and PCRs a nightmare. Seriously, the paperwork side is awful for OPS. The AI is a joke. Training is needlessly difficult to log. What else can I say?

Useless

If you’re looking for an app that doesn’t notify you of calls and a messaging board that doesn’t work, you’ve found it here.

Just switched to this app

It does what it’s supposed to do, but the UI/UX really needs some serious work.

We switched over from Active911, and I can think of 5 things that are worse here and more annoying to me as a firefighter.

I will email the developer my experience and hopefully some changes will be made and I can update this review to a shining 5 stars.

Design & Look

The look/interface of this website/App is poor. They should probably ask AI to do it for them because they can’t seem to make it appealing in the year 2026. Disappointing!

Great app with a few hiccups

The initial alerting, incident and hydrant mapping, and preplanning options are great. - I mean awesome! However, silencing the app could be a simple as turning your phone on silent. But there’s too many, unnecessary steps in the app to silence it. They also only alert one time per incident. So don’t expect any incident update alerts if there are any.

Terrible

Worst app I’ve ever used, AI can’t pronounce streets, it seems like it’s down every other week

Absolute garbage

Our department just ditched Who’s Responding for First Due, and it is an absolute trainwreck. Calling this a functional app is a joke—it’s just a lazy, half-baked website shoved into an app wrapper.

The UI/UX looks like it was programmed by an intern in 2005. It’s completely unintuitive, actively user-hostile, and the alerts constantly go off for phantom calls that don't even exist. It is a textbook waste of taxpayer dollars and a massive downgrade.

I’m refusing to touch this piece of garbage and sticking to Who’s Responding until management inevitably forces this trash down our throats.

Good Concept

Good Concept, but it just doesn’t work well on mobile devices. Sometimes people don’t get the call at all, or get the call hours late.

Even on a computer it bugs out and doesn’t work as expected in terms of making reports.

Drains battery and lags a lot and often takes a few minutes to load on 100 Up/Down and 12Ping internet speeds.

Good concept but needs major improvement.

Does the job

It works as it should. The only recommendation is have a none for sound for categories. Some I may want to see but not get notified. Also I keep getting notification of an updated but nothing shows up in my App Store. Not sure if it’s my IT blocking it.

Overall cool app

Wish there was a way to only view the station that you’re at.

Staffing disaster

This had uses at work in an iPad for incidents. As a staffing app and program… absolute garbage. It’s terrible on my phone, totally different from Telestaff, clunky, not customized and forced on us. Lack of training is costing me overtime shifts

Needs a lot of work

I acknowledge a ton of very difficult technical work goes into to making an app like this and will give you credit for trying to fix problems as they arise… but I will say this. Start with the basics. Yes it’s the chief officers you need to impress to sell your product, but if the firefighters using it can’t stand it, you’re going to lose business. Your shift calendar is clunky garbage. Fix it. And make it exportable to Outlook. If my dog groomer can figure that out, you should be able to too.
