Looks Fishy

This is good for checking out fish in their natural habitat without any reference to fishing. Would benefit from a few more fish added.

Only 23 species listed

The UK has 42 species of native freshwater fish. This app only identifies 23., why isn’t salmon included? I get they live part of their life in the ocean, but they spawn in fresh water, live up to 6 years in our river systems and then come back to our rivers to mate and spawn again.
Next issue: There are no photos of the fry, again it makes identifying young/ baby fish impossible. I assumed this would have a photo option so you could take a photo, upload it and the app would identify it. Nope, you have questions to answer and then you get a % of what chance of fish species you β€˜might’ have found.
It feels as if this app was designed and developed by A level or undergraduate students in a vaguely β€˜meh’ way. It feels unfinished and the info is very basic. I’d be more forgiving if it was free, but this really isn’t worth Β£2.99.

Not worth the money!

Very basic app with very few pictures and information, would expect to download for free not Β£2.49

Nice app…

… no complaints but it could be better; I’d like to see photos and id tips as viewed from above and out of the water, the normal veepoint in most cases. Some species are missing, notably salmon and stickleback.

Seasonal information would be useful as well.

Nice App if a little unstable
