So disappointed.
For years I’ve been satisfied with the app and recently often thought about getting premium since I use it multiple times per day. However, recent advertisement changes made the app almost unusable since you are forced to watch a quadruple ad of the same mobile game and click multiple times to get it over with which takes around a whole minute. This decision making shows how awful and greedy the app management is and discourages to spend even a dime on this app.

Overhyped and inaccurate
The app is very overhyped (probably only by sponsored YouTubers). It reports calories very inaccurately. There are major errors in the caloric values even after scanning the barcode — they differ drastically from what the manufacturer states on the packaging.
Good app overall, but AI estimation is not reliable enough
The app overall is good. However, the AI tier is very overpriced for the level of quality it delivers. The AI estimation model itself seems reliable enough, but the problem is that relies on the user-maintained database, which leads to frequent mistakes. An example is “Ramen” estimation. The AI estimation correctly identified all the ingredients and selected Ramen noodles from the database. However it failed to identify that the Ramen it selected is actually a whole recipe, not just the noodles. So as a result, I got an estimation of a Ramen that included another ramen within it, doubling some macros.
I encountered many such cases in the last month. Another issue is that sometimes, when a certain dish isn’t in the database, the AI selects something that is “close enough”, but is actually something else entirely. When I tell it to divide it by ingredients it works, but I don’t want to have to constantly monitor it for 50pln/mo. In my view, this is very overpriced for just an AI model that uses sometimes garbage data that is in no way curated.

parfait pour perdre du poids sans se restreindre les calories parfaite , des recettes en plus équilibré et qui donne envie tout calories gratuitement on peux même scanner les codes barres de ce qu’on mange franchement j’ai jamais trouver mieux que cette application
Annoying
Idk if I do something wrong, but it’s more and more annoying. It shows wayy more calorific value than it really is, I check on internet, I told it I ate vegetable soup around 300ml and it said 1500 kcal 🤣 also constantly shows caloricity for dried rice or groats which is twice as much as cooked one and I don’t think anyone eats dry rice. U have to sit and put everything by hand and it takes so much time :/

In this example much water evaporates during cooking and when I portion the dish after the weight of each portion does not correspond to the weight before. I have to do some proportion calculation to get it right. It could be easily solved if having an option to add how much water evaporated during cooking in a recipe so it would diminish the overall weight of the dish. It could even be a simple ingredient "evaporated water" with negative weight. It would be the most useful especially when making big batch of a dish. It would work like this adding ingredients to a recipe - overall weight 1000g, -> cooking -> weighing whole batch, weight: 800g, -> adding "evaporated water" -200g and everything checks up!

App Completely Unusable – Constant “No Internet” Error
This app is basically unusable right now. I keep getting a “No internet connection” error even though my connection is perfectly fine. I’ve tried everything on my end — logging out, reinstalling the app, and even testing on a brand new iPhone 17 Pro — same issue every time.
At this point, it’s clearly not a device or network problem, it’s the app itself. Really frustrating because I can’t access anything or use the core features at all.

Gutes Konzept mit großen Lücken
Eigentlich ist die App ganz gut, jedoch bei näherem Hinsehen ziemlich umständlich zu bedienen.
Wenn ich ein Produkt eingebe, für das ich eine Kalorienangabe auf der Packung habe, gibt mir die App viele verschiedene Ergebnisse jedoch mit unterschiedlichen Mengenangaben.
Wenn der Referenzwert auf der Packung sich auf 100g bezieht, möchte ich keine Produkte finden, die sich auf 35, 40 oder 50 g beziehen. Ist zwar jetzt nicht schwer zu rechnen, aber ich habe die App gekauft, gerade um nicht jedes Mal rechnen zu müssen. Ein Referenzwert in der App wäre mit 100 g gut anwendbar.
Wie beworben, einfach die Nährwertangaben über ein Foto durch die KI errechnen zu lassen, funktioniert überhaupt nicht, da die KI offensichtlich nicht lesen und rechnen kann. Beispiel: Wenn auf der Packung steht, die Portionsgröße von 18g hat 87 cal, wirft die KI 54 cal aus.
Der Kalorienwert selbst lässt sich leider nicht manuell verändern. Also geht eine umständliche Suche nach vergleichbaren vorhandenen Produkten los.
Auch lassen sich bei Mahlzeiten leider keine einzelnen Produkte kopieren und auf den nächsten Tag übertragen. Es lässt sich immer nur die gesamte Mahlzeit kopieren. Ziemlich unpraktisch, wenn man einen einzelnen Bestandteil einer Mahlzeit auf eine andere Mahlzeit des gleichen Tages übertragen möchte.
Auch, dass sich Wasserbestandteile von aufgezeichneten Lebensmitteln oder Getränken (Kaffee oder Tee u.v.a.) nicht automatisch auf die Tagesration Wasser übertragen, ist sehr ungünstig.
Da geht bereits die Rechnerei wieder los.
Wenn sich daran nichts ändert, werde ich vermutlich zu meiner alten App zurückkehren.
Ärgerlich ist, dass ich mich gleich zum Jahresabonnement verleiten ließ.

I paid for this app and my first experience was already disappointing. Scanning a product that says a huge 25g of protein on the name and the app says I consumed 16.6g.
Again, it doesn’t save updates and it’s calculating wrong values even me telling the specific value. So bad that I just wish I could get my money back.

Wenn du eine App suchst die einfach Funktioniert, runterladen.
Für die meisten Apps muss man einen Kompletten Katalog an Fragen beantworten bevor man sie verwenden kann. Fitatu kann alles was die Konkurrenten auch können nur mit weniger upselling.
