Worse app than before
Made the app so much worse. Can’t even see hours

For many years I was plagued by a seamless checkin experience with a simple barcode on my keychain. Thankfully I can now look forward to spending 5 minutes updating this app and clicking don’t allow notifications or location services every time I try to work out. Incredible work.
Classes schedule
Class schedule is never accurate. Doesn’t display same day classes
Bring back key fobs
Bring back key fobs like every functional gym in the world. App doesn’t even work. FitnessSF hates their customers.
Billing Statements do not work with this "new" app
Requesting previous months billing statements do not work on this new app. Every month says I paid $0 for my membership and that there is no transactions for that month. How does upgrading to a "new" app make every feature worse? So confusing.
Old App = 1000% Better
Like other reviews, I have to agree. Old app wasn’t perfect, but provided essential info like classes and gym hours immediately. New app is cluttered with ads and useless stuff making it harder to find what you actually need to know. I don’t need yet another “gen AI” bot. Highly recommend bringing back the other app that served its purpose well!

Missing some basics
There is no list of gym locations and their hours. That’s like inviting someone to a party but leaving the location and date off the invite. PLEASE add these back in, it’s crazy useful especially around holidays or if I’m going to a location I don’t visit often. The only way to get this info in the app is to needlessly waste water and 30-60 seconds waiting for the AI chat every time I need to check. And truthfully no one asked for AI in their gym app—I can’t understand why that was a prioritized feature and not location hours and contact info. AI does not need to be everywhere if it’s not useful everywhere.
There are some great additions like the newly available programming, which is welcome. I would also love to see a promotions section that includes both the gym’s active promotions and the partner business promotions (such as Sports Basement discounts).

Excruciating
Please just get key fobs like every other gym on earth, this is beyond painful and unnecessary. There’s a problem every single day with this thing and you’re overcomplicating what should be a simple experience. It’s a gym not SaaS security.
Massive Regression
The new app is terrible. They removed the ability to quickly see gym hours, and added AI to it instead. Do they even know why people use this app?

Can’t use the app
With the new app having been released a few weeks now, I still haven’t been able to log in as I need to change my password. The problem is the email link they send out doesn’t work: on the phone, it sends you back to the App Store and on browser, it sends you to the Fitness SF homepage.
Lame to require app
Not allowing members to just use a web app for checking in seems strange to me. Also logging into the native app is tough. One time password doesn’t work

No Gym Hours but AI Chat Bot?
The new splash page doesn’t have my preferred gym on it, and when I looked around in the app I could see which gyms I have selected as favorites but there’s no way to see any information about their hours or the amenities they have available or anything like that. I have to google and go online, which defeats much of the purpose of having an app in the first place. I don’t need or want to talk to some dumb AI bot, I want to know when the gym closes today.

Useless AI agent replaced useful info
They ripped out useful info such as gym hours and force you to use their AI agent. But they hired people who don’t understand the concept of time zones, so it is required to answer as if you’re in UTC instead of California, giving wrong answers.
Can’t log in
Ridiculous as it route you to a hot spot url and once open no password reset or one time login any how
Useless for new users
As a new user, I don’t yet have a password, and the redirection links to change password or get a login link do not open the correct app.
