The juice isn’t worth the squeeze
After searching Tokopedia for some amazing deals I tried securing them through Fiverr. The proxy was quick and easy to communicate with. Then came the markups and fees… The great deals turned to prices I would expect from American companies. $317 in goods turned into an $799 invoice, and that was after I had to correct the proxy on their markups per item. I expected a small service fee and knew shipping would be high. $267 shipping on 7 items. $166 fee from Fiverr plus a service fee. What seemed like a good thing quickly deteriorated.

Terrible Buyer Protection and MISLEADING Vendor Prices
Fiverr is completely broken if you are a buyer trying to do honest business. Sellers are allowed to post misleading base prices on their gigs just to hook you, only to immediately demand double or triple the price once you send your project details. When you hold them accountable and point out their misleading pricing, the platform's automated moderation tools penalize and flag your account instead of addressing the vendor's dishonest practices. Customer support and platform design completely favor shady vendor upselling while punishing buyers who expect basic transparency. Completely unusable and exhausting experience—closing my account and taking my business elsewhere.
