Can’t Beat Free

I rarely rate things. But this seems to be a well put together app for anatomy flashcards and learning. And it’s completely free as far as I can tell so no. I haven’t seen any ads and haven’t had to make any in app purchases. Which can’t be beat. That said, it teaches recall more than recognition. What I mean by that is the photos are of the same orientation all the time. You may recall the image but does that mean you’d actually recognize the 3 dimensional structure in a model? Also anatomy is such much easier with an understanding of the latin roots the anatomy takes its name from and there isn’t any flashcards that teach these Latin roots. Which seems like a massive oversight. But for an entirely free app. You really can’t complain. It does what it does well. Just understand that what it does is limited.

Useful

My honest review

This app is really good. I am on the terminology section and it really helps with memorization and understanding . I would recommend this to anyone who is about to take a noting or biology, as-well as anyone who wants to pursue a career in the medical field. God bless !

Very basic

I’m starting an anatomy course in college and wanted a head start but this app is super basic knowledge unfortunately

Anatomy

It’s a great app for learning the terms

I love this sm

This is so amazing for studying I’ve been using it for a while now and It helped so much. Muscles are a very overwhelming thing to learn and this app helped so much.

Helpful for PISO

Was using this for skeletal and then forgot now using it for the brain and it’s way better then making your own.

The best

Recommend app for nursing students

Location, not Function. Limited, but nevertheless a useful resource

These flashcards are very useful for identifying the locations of certain structures on an anatomical model, but functions are not the focus. I understand this, and I can use other means, but the potential holistic improvement is there if only you would develop it.

Key structures are all well-included; I think more specific structures for individual bones, like the anatomy of the clavicle or the scapula’s borders/angles would be great additions, that matches the key theme of this app.

I also think an alternate mode for the app would be helpful. More specifically, testing the user’s ability to match names to locations and the other way around would be helpful.

How about making the question “Where is the teres minor muscle?” and giving various highlighted structures as the answer with only one correct. That reminds us of depth and identifying landmarks on whole body anatomy models.

And why do I suggest this? Because from using the app. I know now I can recall A to B, but it’s more valuable knowing I can also recall B to A, and forgive me if I’m wrong but that is not a hard change to make.
