NEW • Push notifications. Flashes finally pushes. Get notified about likes, comments, reposts, mentions, quotes, new followers and stories, each with its own switch. • A notifications tab built for Flashes. Notifications now come from our own service and centre on the photos you post here. For each category, choose whether it covers everyone or only people you follow. Turn "Only activity from this app" off to see activity on your other Bluesky posts too. The badge and the list also refresh when you open the app. • "For You" — a personalized photo feed that gets better the more you like. Keep liking and we'll tell you when yours is ready. • Discover is the new default feed, so there's plenty to see from the very first launch. "Global" is now called "Latest". • A new way in. Create an account right in the app, or sign in to one you already have — no app password to make, copy or paste. New accounts pick a home: Eurosky (privacy-first, in Europe) is the default, with Bluesky or your own address a tap away. It's your account — you can move it later and take everything with you. • Recent searches, synced across your devices. They filter as you type, and you can remove single entries or clear them all. • Uploads that keep going. Posts now upload through a queue you can cancel, resume and delete, with a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Posts shared from other apps survive the share sheet closing mid-upload. • Group messages. Create groups, invite people, handle join requests, react to messages and reply to a specific one. Direct messages were rebuilt from scratch and now send instantly. • Subtitles on video. A CC button appears on any video that has captions. • Stories: the tray shows everyone again, instead of stopping after 20 accounts. FIXED • Opening comments on a busy post could crash the app, and long threads could freeze it. Both are fixed. • Adding alt text to a photo could crash the app. • Fixed a crash on launch on iOS 18. • Much faster start. • Likes no longer flicker back or get sent twice. • Fixed being signed out with "session expired" after a brief network hiccup. • After switching accounts, notifications and stories no longer show the previous account's.
