So far this program (and I have only been with it a day) just BLOWS everything else I have tried, away!! (And I have tried (and owned) Sibelius, Finale, MuseScore etc.etc.
The beautiful EASE with which you can access and perform each operation is crazy. VERY intuitive. I only looked at the help once. The rest is by logical discovery. (You’ll be surprised how much it has in common with other software). But this is another PLANET entirely. The sounds are amazing too (sorry, Sibelius). I love that you can do everything so EASILY.
Quite simply, THIS is my new software for composing and playing and I have only scratched the surface. THIS is how score writers should have been designed from the start!
Now I just need to discover how to get each page to SCROLL on playback!!! (Please anyone?)
BTW - it does not work with Apple Pencil (unless you know different) But then the keyboard is so easy to use, you really don’t need it, as are all the other functions. I cannot praise this thing highly enough…. SO FAR!!! I hope it takes the music world by STORM!!

BEST MUSIC APP EVER!!!
It’s a really good, and very easy to use, 10/10 recommend. The only downside is the premium thing, it only allows for 15 scores tho be made, which I know sounds like a lot, but for most people that’s not really a lot, but other then that I 10 out of 10 recommend.
Great, but Missing Something
I love the app and all the great pieces everyone makes, but in the editor, there’s one thing that bothers me. The start and stop playing music button. Instead of playing where it left off, it needs to replay from the start of the measure you’re on. Again, I love the app and the music, but the editor needs that update.

Bass instruments
I love the app and have had it for a good moment but I really wish it had bass trombone and bass saxaphone. The contrabass clarinet sounds shaky and stands out in some of my music, other than that the app is great and a HQ bass clarinet would be nice

It’s free to use and it is so easy to make music here, it helped me with my music GCSEs a lot and it also encouraged me to make music in my own free time
A fab music tool
I’ve been looking for a good tab creator, and although there are a lot around, this is one of the best for multiple instruments & most flexible to use.
Easy set up and the free version lets you go with a good array of sounds and voices.

transposition
This complaint is useless, it’s all about the money, and I agree.
Transposition is already technically free because you can just copy and paste something, but the only thing is the octaves might switch.
I want octave transposition to still be free, I always make scores for a specific instrument like maybe the bass, and then paste it onto something else like the trombone then I have to manually switch each note up an octave just so the the trombone isn’t playing pedal notes.

Ich finde die App richtig gut gemacht. Jedoch hätte ich bei den Akkordeons einen Vorschlag. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass man zu den Liedern auch Register geben kann damit das Lied ein besseren Klang hat. Sonst ist es sehr gut!

One of the hardest apps to use ever
Here’s the thing. I have so many good music ideas in my head that I need to put it down. Buts it’s really hard to do on paper and that’s why I got flat. But I quit this app because… well… it’s so hard to use. Especially when making music. The only thing I could actually use was the play button to listen to other people’s music. (This might be an exaggeration but even so). Either ways I glad their was an option to collaborate with other people, but in the end I didn’t collaborate with anyone because I couldn’t figure how to use this app in the first place. If u read this Ty.

Pretty much perfect!
Flat has provided me with the necessities for composing and arranging music. Thanks to Flat, I have been able to perform my works and provided music to others to play with me. The one thing that id like to see is some sort of way to see how long the music is (In seconds and minutes). Other than that, id have to say that pro is SO worth it. Thank you, Flat!

Gutes Programm vor allem für Leute in einer Band
Ich bin jetzt seit einem halben Jahr in einer Band und musste die Noten immer mit der Hand schreiben weil ich kein gutes Programm gefunden habe. Jetzt kann ich endlich die Noten die ich schreibe auch lesen 😂. es lohnt sich wirklich ( auch ohne Abo nützlich )

Export to XML
If you’d like to export your piece for free, you have to use the web version of Flat, not mobile. Exporting features for Flat on mobile are very limited. I made the mistake of thinking that I could export to XML, but other than that, the app is alright to use.

Es ist eigentlich richtig gut; kinderfreundlich, einfach anzuwenden…
Es gibt aber zwei Probleme:
1. Es kostet für manche Nutzbarkeit schon sehr viel.
2. Ich hatte Flat auf meinem Handy und auf meinem iPad. Auf meinem Handy habe ich ein Lied erstellt, auf meinem iPad zwei. Nun hatte ich mich mit meinem Google Account auf meinem Handy angemeldet. Das Lied wurde zum Glück übertragen. Ich wollte das auch auf dem iPad machen, aber die zwei Lieder wurden nicht auf das gleiche Google Konto übertragen. Jetzt habe ich zwei Lieder umsonst gemacht.
Sonst jetzt fährt eigentlich richtig toll!

After initial confusion during signup (watch out—it is far too easy to accidentally subscribe under the wrong username), I got Flat running on my iPad.
The Good: Good integration for reading and sharing files alongside my MuseScore library, serving as a basic mobile preview tool.
The Bad: The native iPad app suffers from severe interface omissions. Basic operations require frustrating workarounds—there is no direct way to duplicate a score to test draft variations, nor is there a simple option to swap an instrument part without manually adding a new staff and copy-pasting notes. Furthermore, the visual engraving quality falls short of desktop standards like MuseScore.
Since Notion on iPad consistently fails to import shared MusicXML files, Flat is currently my only mobile companion for laptop score work. However, given the subscription price and missing core features, the iPad app feels unfinished.
It is an innovative platform, and I hope future updates bring the iPad app up to standard so I can reconsider this rating.

Drumline update??
I really like how easy it is to make drumline music using this app but to make this even better is adding a spike for the tenor drums so they can have 2 spocks, For the bass drums id really like the rims for each individual drum and also rimshots. Lastly i think maybe a “thicker” gock sound for the snares would be killer but other than that this is a really good writing app for the go
