Flightbook

Flightbook is a digital pilot logbook built around the real paper book. Keep your hours, pages, certificates, and endorsements in one place — with a paper-accurate layout you can zoom, browse, and back up on your device. PAPER LOGBOOK PAGES Choose UK/NZ or FAA (ASA-style) format in Settings. The Logbook tab shows a full paper page: flight rows, brought-forward and carry totals, and column hours that match your book. Lock to landscape for the page view, pinch to zoom and pan, fit the page to the screen, and swipe or tap between pages. Browse all pages by year, open any page, or delete a page and its flights. Add or edit flights with date, aircraft type and registration, PIC, co-pilot or student, from/to, and the hour columns for your chosen layout. FAA pages also support times, miles, flight number, operations hours, takeoffs and landings, approaches, and remarks. AI PAGE IMPORT Photograph a logbook page or pick photos from your gallery. Queue multiple pages, set a default year if needed, and let Flightbook read flight rows and page totals. Review each line before it is saved — check the source photo, edit any row, confirm brought-forward totals when detected, then import the page into your book. One successful page scan uses one AI credit. Buy credit packs in the app (5, 20, or 50 pages) when you need more scans. PHOTO CERTIFICATES & STICKERS Certificates are stored as images so signatures, stamps, and stickers stay visible — no AI transcription. Open Certificates from the Logbook Certs flow or the Certificates tab. Choose a type from the dropdown: front-of-logbook sections (student pilot training record — aeroplane or helicopter, licences and associated ratings, flight tests, checks, reviews, assessments and authorisations) or common stickers (flight test, type rating, biennial flight review, Robinson safety awareness, logbook assessment, CPL logbook summary, cross-country flight test, night flying approval, mountain training, sling endorsement, first solo, night rating, and other). Take a photo or choose from your gallery, drag corners to crop and flatten like a document scan, add an optional caption and date, then save. Filter by type, open any photo to edit or delete, and keep everything in date order. STATS & HOME See total flight experience (or FAA total duration), column hour totals, aeroplane and helicopter totals where relevant, number of entries, and expandable lists of aircraft flown and airports visited. Home shows a personal greeting, quick hour chips, shortcuts to log a flight or import pages, and your recent entries. PAGE CERTIFICATION Certify entries on the page footer: aeroplane total from your flights, editable helicopter total, grand total, “entries certified correct,” a drawn signature, optional printed name, and certification date. SETTINGS & SECURITY Set your pilot name and switch between UK/NZ and FAA layouts. Optional 4-digit PIN locks the app after it leaves the foreground. Buy and manage AI scan credits. Export or share a JSON backup, restore a backup (replace or merge), or delete all local data after exporting if you choose. PRIVACY Your logbook, pages, totals, certification, and certificate photos stay on your device. Backups are only shared when you export them. AI scanning uses anonymous cloud processing for page photos and credit balances only — it is not a full cloud logbook sync.
