This is a great app it is now my favorite studying app. It has helped me to focus and buckle down and study! It has also helped with my short attention span my favorite feature is being able to study with other people in the silent study groups. Download it! You won’t regret it great for college students.

This is an extremely poor app. I paid for premium but was offered nothing different from the free version instead, I am being edged to pay more for more features while I am yet to get any value for the one paid.

LOVE this app!!!
I’ve been using flipd for years now and have loved it since downloading!! I prefer the pomodoro method of studying and this really helps me to stay motivated. I love the feature that blocks your other apps and tells you that your timer will end if you click out of the app. I really recommend this if you need to study or concentrate on a task for a specific amount of time.

NGL, game changer!
I always feel like I’m not really doing anything worthwhile, even tho I’m studying, but by being able to track my study time and different tasks, I feel a lot more motivated to actually sit down and work because there being a numerical value to the endless hours of homework makes be like excited to see the effort I put in. Also but sharing with friends I feel more help accountable because we know how long each other studies for. Love its benefits and the app itself is super enjoyable to use with music, different timers and categories etc. 100% recommend!!

Super expensive
Should have a student discount because as a uni student this is crazy! I want to do a one time purchase but as a full time student paying over 150 is insane for an app. Lower the price.
I love this but…
I absolutely love Flipd, it is actually so helpful in keeping motivated because it can be kinda depressing when it feels like you spend so long studying with nothing to show for it so having the ability to see how much time and effort I put in really helps. Also, the pomodoro is really helpful during long study sessions as it helps pace yourself and take breaks. The music and ambience sound features are a lovely addition. My only ‘but’ is a BIG one for me. The statistics feature, which is something I was super excited about so I could see all of the time I spend studying and on different categories, it stopped working about two months into my subscription (which is about to end) and has not yet been fixed. I understand that apps and coding is complex but I really want this feature to work, especially if I was to keep using this app which I would like to but if I have to pay again, I would like it to work fully. The customer service has been pretty good at responding to my messages but unfortunately the team hasn’t been able to fix the stats… I hope I can either get a discounted renewal or this feature can be fixed by the time I have to renew.

Great for tracking time studying
I love this app for tracking my time studying throughout the day. Since I am usually able to have small study sessions at a time, this helps me track the total time I’ve spent studying even if it’s only five minutes at a time. This app is helpful to me as I want to hit weekly study goal of a certain amount of hours. My only issue is the premium version being just a little bit too expensive with too little to offer for it.

Was really great until everything stopped working
I’ve been using Flipd for a few months now. i originally got it for the timer feature. After I had used it a few times I really enjoyed it a lot and it really helped me stay focused. I liked the variety of music or white noise options there were. I decided to buy premium lifetime so I can unlock every feature and have access to all the music and timer options. That was great and all, having all of the features. But after about two months of having premium and using it, it just randomly stopped working one night when I went to go do schoolwork. it said I was offline, I wasn’t able to use any of the features expect for the timer. I wasn’t able to listen to any of the music stations. I wasn’t able to study with anyone else. I couldn’t even edit my account settings/change my name. Everything stoped working. I tried restarting my phone, disconnecting and connecting my internet. I even signed out of my account, and that was a big mistake. It won’t let me sign in, even using the same email. No matter how many times I do it, it won’t work. I can’t even create a new account, it says there’s an “Error” and to contact support services, which I did. And they didn’t answer. I’m not sure if there’s something i did wrong or if the app is bugging out. But I don’t suggest paying the 100 dollars or a subscription if it’ll just break on you like that.

The app just stopped working on my phone and iPad suddenly.
Does this still work as it used to?
I had this app perhaps 2 or 3 years ago. Didn’t use it much. Trying to get back into it, but it seems to either be chock-full of bugs or perhaps it’s no longer being popular supported.
I’m unable to make a Flipd profile because it won’t let me pass the last step. I can’t load up any music or sounds when studying within the app, and data isn’t tracked in the stats section. The widget on my home screen doesn’t update either. At this point, all the app is is a glorified timer.
This isn’t to mention that, of course, I can only set a timer/stopwatch to a max of 40min without paying. Sort of ludicrous.
I remember enjoying using this app in the past, with the various sound effects and being able to see how many people are studying my concurrently. Now it’s seemingly a shell of its former self. Forest may be a good alternative I’ll return to.
