Good app

Pretty good app to record your rolls. Helps me look back and see what I can improve on.

Make more apps for different sports!

I love this app a lot, and honestly, I feel I could learn more from this app than from actually going to practice for an hour. Because anything I wanna learn, I just search for it and it pulls up short, easy YouTube tutorials that are super high viewed and top rated. But I wish they had an app like this for other sports because I also do a bit of soccer, and I would like if they had an app like this to teach you how to do skills in soccer, like a finesse shot, a curling shot, a power shot, or just stuff like that.

Good … but….

I like it other than the fact I just spent money on the pro version and they won’t upgrade me to the pro version , tried deleting and everything

Misleading

It is free!

Best BJJ Training App

I’ve been using FlowRoll for 8 months now and it is by far my favourite app for tracking and improving my training in BJJ. It’s helped me recognize my strong and weak points which has helped improve my gameplan for competing.

The free version of the app has many features and is very easy to use. I really enjoy the new update where you can see the members at your gym and share your training with them.

I had an issue logging into an account and the developer, David, responded very quickly and immediately helped me transfer my data to a new account. Highly recommend for any new or advanced BJJ practitioners!

Getting back into it and this helped get ready

White Belt

SENERIO: As a newer white belt I train at a Gracie University center within the Gracie Combatives Program. This program consist of 36 techniques, each with 2-4 variations. This is a lot.
HOW THE FLOWROLL APP IS HELPING:
1: Logging sessions -
This helps to quickly see what you trained on last time so you can review before next class.
2: Listing Techniques -
You can view all techiques at once. This allows you to quickly choose the technique you want to view.
3: Notes -
You can notes and url’s. This allows you to learn and retain the details most efficiently. It also has a link to websites such as specific You Tube channels for specific techniques. For me I enter my Gracie University link and it takes me right to it.
4: Mind Maps
This is such a game changer. I started making mind maps to categorize and link techniques using a mind map app, but now it’s built right into this app. Amazing.

Look, there is so much more with this app… If you intend to continue training in Jiu-jitsu and want to be more in control of you learning ability, then try this app.
PS - This is my honest review. I get no monetary gain from this post.
Blessings

Thank you this made my week! Really glad you are using the System FlowCharts too. If you have any feature recommendations or ideas, please do reach out to our support and we will look after you! Thank you

Genuinely a Great Product

Actually easy to use, intuitive, everything isn’t stuck behind a paywall.

Even has techniques you should know and a great systems tab.

Most apps I find are actually gimmicky and not great tools for skill acquisition, this is hands down the best complimentary skill app I’ve used

Response from developer

Thanks so much for the good review mate I'm glad you're enjoying the app. There's plenty more improvements to come!

This bouta help me learn so well

Response from developer

Response from developer

No YouTube videos?

I’ll still give this a 5 star but I can’t find any videos now on the techniques? There used to be videos on submission, guard pass etc but there is no videos now.

Response from developer

Hi Obi, Thanks for the review! Could you email us and we will sort this issue out for you asap! Cheers

Elite Tool

I catalog right after every training sessions to help me identify strong and weak points in my game. This way I don’t forget what I need to work on an hour after the class. The UI is super useful. I haven’t really used the in app videos a whole lot but just having that resource there is phenomenal. Everyone should be using this app to track their progression and plan future sessions

Fantastic Training Tool

Perfect for building that BJJ foundation. Perfect for setting up game plan for comp too. Can’t recommend enough! 👍🏻

Response from developer

Love to hear that!

Frank088

By far the best free bjj app on the app store. I use it every day!

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Best app I’ve used

I’ve never written reviews ever since I’ve gotten a phone, but this is the best app I’ve ever used, I can’t imagine how much worse I’d be without it

Awesome training tool

I had a knee injury recently and I cannot practice Bjj for several months. This app allows me to take notes and work out strategies while I am out, keeping me in the game. Two things I would like to see in the future is a computer port of this app, as there are times where it would be more useful on desktop. The other thing I would like to see is an overhaul of the technique webfeature with directional arrows, custom positions, a larger web and nodes that you can move around. The web gets very crowded at 100 nodes, and I have heard stories of high level practitioners making a flow chart this large for 1 position.
Great app tho, prolly most eco friendly of these, as the AI use is fully optional

Response from developer

That's some awesome feedback Andrew. Glad to hear FlowRoll's keeping you busy when injured! A desktop version will be developed at some point over the coming months for sure. The technique web will also get an overhaul. I will be building a flowchart / system creator very soon that I'm sure you will love. Thanks for the support!

Good app

Good app, only thing not giving it 5 stars is a submission counter on how many times your submitted as well as who you submit

Response from developer

Great idea I will add this asap. A 'tap' counter. Thanks man glad you're enjoying it.

Lack of content

There is a small library of content. Several popular guard styles, submissions, and sweeps are not even available.

Response from developer

We are working on our content library. You can add your own custom techniques when you find that one is missing. Thanks for the feedback!

Should Be Able to Add Infinite Moves

When people go to the menu, it has a pro feature you can buy. Although, for free users, you can only add limited moves. I think that people should be able to add unlimited moves, and pro people should be in a group with other pro people and jiu jitsu trainers to help with any questions. I think they should be able to have groups or a online section where you can chat with others or make groups. Maybe a “Locals” section to talk with. They should also add a friends list if they do that. Overall, they should fix things and help the free users, and give a MASSIVE (lowww taper fadeee) update. I rated it 5 stars because this is one of the best apps for bjj in the app store, and I always forget my moves which makes this app so amazing. I know you probably won’t read this whole thing, but it is amazing.
